Thanks, I bought the Penn 10 foot rod and reel combos at Academy for only 99 bucks and switch the reels to different rods depending on what type of fishing I’m doing! 👊🏽

Hey man, I’m new to the area (Von Ormy) and never really done a ton of fishing. However this is intriguing and I’ve been watching a ton of your videos. I’m looking to start bank fishing as something to do with my kids. Do you have any recommendations for a budget rod and reel for someone starting out.

Thanks for checking out some of the videos! 👊🏽 I would say best budget rod and reel combo is the Ugly Stik 7’ Catfish Spinning Rod and Reel Combo. Runs about 56 bucks . I’ve put 20 pound test and landed big reds with that combo.

I haven’t tried yet. It is definitely on the to do list I got a buddy that takes the H.E.B frozen head on shrimp down there because the bag is 2 pounds for like 10 bucks. I believe a pound of dead shrimp was like 6 bucks last time I was in Port A and you don’t always get best shrimp. Sometimes to small or just old shrimp.

@@arthurgarcia8979 When you go next time and you don’t take some H.E.B frozen head on you can ask to see the shrimp before you buy. I hate buying the shrimp getting to the fishing spot to open the bag and the shrimp is wack. Good luck out there next time! 👍

It was windy and cloudy. I don’t think I saw one person fishing on the bank. But with the weather now improving bank fishing should be improving also. Right now the bait fish are slim to none around the bank. Warmer weather around the corner get out there and give it a shot! 👊🏽

I stayed in one spot for hours , I couldn’t take it no more because of the wind chill. I’m pretty sure you were on the other side of the lake the whole time catching them all !!!! See you out there soon bro!

I wouldn’t charge. Possibly in the future that could happen. I need to add rod holders for extra people I just have it set up for myself right now.

Sir. I don't know this? If you don't, you need to Google it. It is illegal to use Farm-raised/store bought shrimp in any area lakes in texas, some BS about their from other countries. They may contaminate the lake waters!? Depending on the game warden, they may ticket you. F. Y. I. You can still use them to take them out of the package. May that HEB/ Walmart. Don't say where they're from Sir. Oh, nice pair of Reds. Congrats! 👍 Be safe 🙏 How do I know this, it was brought to my attention by HEB manager?

Thanks you! I understand where you’re coming from. I have been checked a few times by the game wardens with the store bought frozen shrimp and fish in chest never had no issues. Thanks for looking out. 👌
