I have always wanted to go to CalArts but unfortunately my parents couldn’t afford it cuz of the recent inflation… but this sketchbook just inspires me so much and you must be so talented to have come up with all those wonderful and colorful drawings!! It’s really awesome! Keep creating, even when it’s hard… I’m an artist too so i know how hard you must’ve pushed to finish this entire sketchbook just for CalArts.🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤

This is such an interesting sketchbook. I love everything about it. Especially your simplicity of color choices on each page, the beautifully done line work, the great use of white space for our eyes to rest. I love this!! Yes, I bind them together, the paper I used is sketch paper, make sure to use the thicker ones if you're doing water color on it!

Yoooo this is so rad!! How long did it take you to fill up this sketchbook? I'm a Senior that plans to apply to CalArts in their Spring Term, but I deal with a LOT of art block/losing motivation, which is kind of making me anxious to apply/meet the criteria in order to apply, the main thing that's worrying me being the sketchbook. I've been looking at a lot of CalArts sketchbooks, seeing what's similar and what's different, and I can tell that studies are a popular one! How you gain the motivation to keep going/fill up this sketchbook? I really appreciate your time, and congrats on being accepted/finishing your first film!! Your drawings are truly amazing!!!

actually every piece I draw came from a pencil sketch! I just erase some of them for a cleaner view.

I think frequently practicing life sketching and figure drawing is very important, also you can watch other sketchbook videos and analyze how other artists arrange their work!

Hi! Your work is super inspiring! It made my day! I also like to work on big formats( most sketchbook tours are done with smaller art books). Therefor I was wondering wether or not yours is handmade(because I saw the stitches on the cover)? And if it is, did you draw on separate pieces of paper and then sewed them together or the other way around? It is harder to stay consistent through out the whole sketchbook, and way more comfortable to work on separate pieces of paper, and then combine the best in to an art book, is this your process of work?

Yes, I use pinterest as an inspiration, and some videos on KZread, due to covid, the circumstances are not suitable for life observation.

I use mostly poster paint and Calligraphy Tombow ABT Dual Brush Pen for color, the paper is sketch paper

Yes, I've use all the materials you mentioned! In addition, I use some poster paint for the color brightness and color pencils for detail.
