Hey, as one of the people who's maintaining the user created guides on Calamity's wiki (which has some remarkable similarities to this video), I thought I'd let you know about a few changes I've recently made to that guide. Most notably is the inclusion of valhalla knight armour for post golem, cultist, and all the way up to post polterghast. Spikecrag and Lunar Portal are just that good. Aside from that there's just small things such as flask of ichor being better across the whole game, flesh of infedility being moved to post evil-2 instead of pre-WoF, and using 3 slots of Mirror of Kalandra in endgame. Overall, this is by far the most accurate guide I've seen recently, so well done! It's good to see a guide that's accurate on release, although with the number of changes made already with no big updates I wouldn't expect it to stay that way for long! I will continue updating my wiki guide, so in the inevitable event that this becomes outdated that will stay as close to accurate as I can get it. For now though, for once I can say a video guide is good.

For yharon, I like to use the fearmonger + the sponge, literally makes you take no damage from yharon, and even if you get hit 2 times in a row the fearmonger armour heals so much it’s insane, it doesn’t give minions iirc, but it give shit tons of survivability. Btw, kinda sad for the rampart of deities nerf.

I’ve never gotten very far in calamity and unlit I learned about using guides I was never able to beat and of the bosses and out of all the guides I’ve used this is by far the best one thanks a lot.

aeralite whip is planned, its very hard to come up with whips and balance them properly (summoner post-ml is broken), plus calamity has other active/classless weapons so its fine imo

Im so glad that Sauros Possession isn't anywhere here, just because it used to be 1 of the best single summon in the game. But now it's pretty ass, because it deals at most 13k to 14k dps but taks up 8 slots, it's just worse or equal to most post-providence summon weapons in terms of dps per slot used. While it's counterpart the Mirror of Kalandra, is probably the best dps per slot used summon before shadowspek. It only takes 1 to 5 slots, and at it's best it can deal up to 25k dps, but that's the high rolls, so it's closre to 22k to 23k on average.

It is better to craft Stellar torrus staff before Providence, the laser will constantly deal huge damage to her, and it also helps well against Celestial void. In addition, the Storm Weaver is not such a difficult boss

I'd say that Signus is the easiest sentinel, and has the strongest summoner weapon too, the King of Constellations, Tenryū, which, can deal more damage than Sauros Possession.

Recently completed a run with Ranger. Now it's time to play Summoner.

What are your thoughts on the Ares Exo-Skeleton and Profaned Soul Crystal?

This saved me so much time

Use to mainly use melee, decided to try summoner and I can't see myself going back to melee anytime soon

For wall of flesh I actually personally recommend the staff that Summons many fish, but that’s a personal preference

I used the ethereal subjugator for the devourer of gods instead of the other weapons since it has a higher dps than most other options.

I dont undersatnd how flamesteed works? I am a mech and I can use the right click menu, but I can not shoot? left click just transforms me back, it does nothing?

I found that for DoG the Stellar Torus Staff does the most damage, but its ai is really bad so I had better luck with the Ethereal Subjugator

you should put on the purity accessory it is insanely good for summoner because minions cant crit.

I think it's rather depressing how few of these loadouts include a whip, and how many of them include the kaleidoscope despite encroaching well into the endgame.

I’m almost completed with my death mode summoner playthrough, and let me just say that the sand sharknado staff is SUPER overpowered, and can deal 10k plus dps before golem, I think I hit around 13k using it with wither blossoms before moon lord was defeated

​@@Murasama1you should also note that shimmer breaks the early game too, because you can get hell stone in 3 different ways pre-boss. 1. You go to the Brimstone Crag and kill Slurpers for the Slurper pole, and got lava fishing in the Crag for brimstone crates. 2. You go to the normal ocean, and fish for the raver shark, and go mine hellstone. 3. This is the one that needs shimmer and is in my opinion the most interesting option. You go to the Jungle lab and get the hell lab seekers and shimmer them and get 8 hellstone bars, than you go to the hell lab, mine the 5 hellstone bars that are there, that makes 13 bars, lastly you need to go to the Crag and loot the 2 chests under the bridge for 7 more bars. In total you can obtain 20 hellstone bars without having to kill any enemies or bosses. From there you can craft the molten pickaxe and go mine for more, or make the lava Proof fishing hook and go lava fishing in the Crag for more. Just an experiment on way to get hellstone early while ignoring the raver shark skip that's possible.
