Legit cheesed Duke Fishron with this thing the instant I entered Hardmode. I did something similar with the Glorious End on a Mage build. If your weapon gives you insane mobility just for holding it, it's broken.

An extremely good synergy I found was with the Hide of Astrum Deus+Starlight, it legit shreds through every boss around that area of the game

So I went for this bladecrest oath sword which is "Pre-Boss" and man I love it. Slaughtered King slime, Eye, Brain, and even did a surprise perforators boss and succeeded. It may be difficult to get but it makes early to mid/late easy mode a breeze.

There was an accessory combo I tried when I was playing mage. It involved Chalice of the blood god, Purity, The Sponge and Draedon’s Heart which kind of ensured maximum survivability. Key word being “kind of.”

It's crazy how Craftable Calamity Items makes some weapon options way more viable. If I had to farm biome mimics or infernum golem 22 times just to get a decent option I would prefer to uninstall lol

a weapon id recommend for pre mech is earthen pike, it does around same dps as celestial claymore but its way easier to hit

avalanche, stellar striker and the last mourning are also really good for their respective stages of the game

the pre hardmode part of the guide is a bit questionable

and Excelsus definatly should have been in the pre-Yharon section, since it can out dps almost all the other choises that were shown if it's in a real fight

For those looking for something to challenge themselves with on melee in calamity, you could try and beat the game with only melee weapons that have "Weak" or lower base knockback. Im doing the run right now, and just got past Plantera, and killed Astrum Aureus and EmpressofLight. So far the only really hard parts were the very early game and plantera, since i try to avoid using only yoyos for the run, since most of them have Weak knockback. If you want to see what weapons you can even use, you can go to the calamity and vanilla wikis and sort the melee weapons by knockback from smallest to big. Weak knockback is on weapons that have 4 or less knockback. For plantera i had to use the Chlorophyte Saber, which wa a weapon i had never even tried out after it came out in 1.2. So the run is a goid way to use weapons you might not usually use in runs.

In case someone doesn’t know, with the new update Murasama is Post-DoG, so use it against Yharon

biome blade is crazy, it carries throughout the ENTIRETY of the game since it has versions for basically every stage of just that, the hell form makes me literally invincible against bosses making every boss i fight a joke

And plus if you are fighting dog it can make the fight alot easier with spin form and sanguines fury as a passive (heals 7 hp per hit basically) so combine that with deaths ascension and tbb it can cheese the fight

Hey Ive been using the biome blade from broken to true but I’m now stuck on ML any tips

For pre cultist use beetle wings since they give way better buffs and it only has 10 less block of flight

People named Jetstream Sam: new swords? Who needs them anyway

Instead of using elemental gauntlet with fire gauntlet use elemental gauntlet with Yharim insignia instead it provide more damage buff

menacing, maybe infernum you want warding for the late-game bosses? Lucky for ranger until you cap at 100%. Quick used to be good but they nerfed iirc

I haven’t seen anyone recommend the storm saber, it has good range, homes, does really good damage and you can get it like 5 minutes into hardmode

about the flasks, is holy flames really better than ichor?

I remember grinding for old lords claymore in previous runs. In this one the first bone serpent I killed dropped it lmao

I recommend the entropic claymore for moonlord also caustic blade is good for mechs and its blighted cleaver upgrade is bonkers for pre golem

Why didn't you add yin-yo at the beginning of hardmore? The yoyos that you placed are really difficult to get and by the way they are vanilla...

any reason soul edge isnt recommended for pre-dog?

i dont know why but the biome blade. the broken one and the normal biome blade have been unbelievable op so far. ive gotton up to golem in a time span of like 5 hours just from this weapon it is so op its crazy

@mutu9983 it really depends what boss you are fighting for the wall of flesh use the desert attunement another really good one for when you get into hardmode is the hollow attunement

alot of defensive accessories were reworked recently, including the absorber and sponge. Purity is a new accessory which negates/reduces negative debuffs and has insane regen

yo why is no guide including the galaxia in pre yharon i oblitterated that shit in seconds in death mode with DoG gear but i struggled in the DoG in revengence mode, and its really easy to craft after doG (also after yharon ark of cosmos is overpowered)

Right after i finished my melee playthrough, i even put 100 hours into it, waiting for this video. At least i now get to play mage if you are intending to make one for that class.

Guys. I have a problem. It has nothing to do with the video, but still. I installed Calamity, Infernum, forgo's and a small bunch of auxiliary mods. So here it is. For some reason I don't want NPCs to appear. From the word absolutely. I had a save with them and other buildings (before installing Fargo's and Infernum). And when I decided to get a star that increases difficulty through the new world, and directly activated it, then (apparently at that moment) all my NPCs disappeared. And they no longer want to settle (inscriptions appear that say the guide has arrived, but he is nowhere to be found. On the sheet with the NPC too). Is this some kind of joke from Fargo's itself? Or is this just a bug? UPD: After observing a bit, I can confirm. If I turn on Fargo's mode, then NPCs, enemy mobs and even friendly ones disappear. And calling bosses doesn't work. That is, absolutely all living creatures do not want to appear

I think that was changed so mothron cant spawn pre platera so the ark of the ancients is unobtainable in that stage. Ur best bet is the biome blade. Ik im late but idc

Biom blade is the most buster thing in Calamity it solos every boss just use hallow and underworld biom

@@candyyyzs101 i did it so i got all damanging things, and ran away from it (not too far so it would dash) when i had adrenaline and rage i would use parry with ark and deal the most damange possible, took me 3 adrenalines and also you can put the nurse in the runway in hell it might help also get everything else you can get to help you (also use biome blade's forest thing to attack while running and make a giant open area where u can "freely" fly in hell)

You can farm Aero slimes in space or you can fish them from sky crates. Looks like a bug if you can't mine the ore
