Hussam, i think people dont want Calafiori to go to Arsenal because they already have a very good defense. They might have the best defense in Europe with this move. Imagine this: Calafiori, Saliba, and White, with the Rice and Timber in the double pivot. Noone is scoring. 😭

Husam is right but arsenal right now need a striker and a midfield more than a defender because they lack a clinical striker like a haaland or isak

Gordon CLEARS Gakpo Isak CLEARS Jota. Salah CLEARS Raphinha. That front three would be SECOND at worst. I don’t think we will get Raphinha though. I really hope we get Mbeumo.

To be honest this is the first time im hearing Mo say a player shouldnt go to a strong team. For some reason he's saying that for Arsenal. Usually mo encourages players to joining the powerful teams. Also, the consistent backing of chelsea's continued failure and regression is bizzare.

Mo, we don't know what plans Arteta has for Calafiori or for Timber for that matter.... Maybe he thinks Timber can play dm...we have no clue... But just by him wanting to pay big money on Calafiori he surely has a plan.... And in the end, with Calafiori in the squad Arsenal becomes better!

Mo timber was not bought to be a freaking left back. There’s a reason he went back to right back when he returned. Timber was signed as a rb, rcb, Calafiori is coming as an lcb, lb. Get your facts right

If Mo wants to argue Gordon > Martinelli I have no issue with that, but acting like it’s not even a debate is kinda crazy. Each have had one good season in the prem (20 GA Martinelli 22/23, 21 GA Gordon 23/24). Martinelli had a foot problem 2nd half of this season which played a role in his regression. Also if Isak > Havertz (which I agree) then you could argue Martinelli has never had an elite ST to partner with like Gordon has had (Havertz, Jesus, Nketiah) Arsenal also play more set defences and teams who sit back against us than Newcastle I would presume. Again I have no issue with his opinion but it’s not as one sided as he thinks IMO

Martinelli had his poor season playing for Arsenal who had minimal injuries compared to Newcastle who were destroyed by injuries. Gordon was poor for EVERTON, are you JOKING? That is an absolutely hilarious comparison. Gordon will again outperform Martinelli next season.

@@jamesclark6349 when did I say Gordon was poor? Lmao he’s only had one elite season in the prem it’s not that deep. 22/23 4G 0A 21/22 4G 2A. You can make the excuse that it was for Everton but I mean Dwight McNeil had 3G 6A this season.

@@philayele7786 Everton finished 10th if you take away the points deduction they got. In 22/23 17th and 21/22 16th, they were MUCH worse teams when Gordon played for them. Gordon was the best LW in the league in his first full season in a good team under a progressive Manager. Martinelli was poor for a title challenging team, a very different scenario.

Everton was slightly worse those years but they scored 43 goals in 21/22, 34 goals 22/23 and 40 goals last season, so I can’t act like they’re has been a sudden change to their offense since he left. Obviously he has improved since then, but that doesn’t change the fact that last year was his first elite season in the prem. You include all this context for Gordon but don’t seem to want to do it for Martinelli last season.
