Recipe here: www.joyofbaking.com/cupcakes/C... Stephanie Jaworski of Joyofbaking.com demonstrates how to make Cake Pops. One look at a Cake Pop and you know why they are so popular. Small and oh so cute, the combining of cake crumbs with frosting and then covering it with a delightfully crisp outer shell of colorful candy coating makes for a very sweet confection.

genious to weigh the dough. and thankyou for letting me know how many balls you get from a box of cake ! sooo aweseome !
cake pops are basically an iced cake thrown into a blender and formed into balls and dipped in candy
I really like how you clearly explain the baker's options of doing things and the measurements! You're wonderful!
We love your comments however due to our busy schedule questions on the recipes may take some time. We check our Facebook page more often so if you would like a quicker answer post your question there. A link to our Facebook page is in the description above.
Excellent video! When you showed how the candy melts should pour, I finally figured out why my try at cake pops didn't work. My melts were way too thick. Lpve the way you weigh your cake balls for consistent size. Now I know how much a pound of melts will cover. Thank you so much!!!
I just spent time watching about 5 other cake pop video's and I must tell you. this is the best!!! Thank you ever so much!
Thank you so much for this recipe! My mother, sister and I had good time today making them. We used the crock pot to melt the chocolate coating and it worked fantastically.
I'm planning a tea party for my little girl and have never made cake pops so this was so beneficial to me! Thank you, you do a great job of easily explaining things. Much appreciated! I'm going to check out some other videos as well! ❤ 🎂
I just love your videos. your great a explaining and measurements. I am subscribed now. thank you
These are the best cake pops on youtube!!
I really want to try this. I've been searching for a very easy recipe on making Cake Pop's and your video are the best. I think it's really a great help for beginners like me .
Thank you so much!!!!! I have been trying these at home and making a tragic failure of it all. You have shown me where I went wrong. THANKS!!!!! I'm so excited now!
Tank you! I was making cake pops for a bake sale and I did not remember how to make them, so thx!
I made cake pops with a brownie mix and it tasted very good
This was a pretty AWESOME tutorial. You gave us many options, tips and ideas! I tried making these once before and now I know what I did wrong. I didn't add any shortening to make the candy coating thinner and I added too much frosting to the mix. So, again, thanks sooo much!! This video was super helpful. I will be tryin to make them for Thanksgiving. New subby for sure. Taylor:)
omg...i'm made some tonight for the 1st time for my lil girls b-day party and melting the melties, they were so thick! I youtubed and found your channel and did what you did by adding the margarine it was perfect!!! I've watched tons of you tubes and no one mentioned to use margarine in the melty...Thank you so much! IT WORKS!

You can buy them at cake decorating stores or stores like Michaels and Joanns. You can also buy them on line (amazon).
Geez thanks for this. It turned out so good!
Loved the tutorial! Thank you!
Are you a mathematical genius? Do you memorize the customary to metric conversions beforehand or do you really just know how to compute them off the top of your head like that?? Great videos, by the way!

I guess if u're a baker u would know ur measurements off your head ..
I love your work. You always give detailed tips which I love. Love your videos!!
I've never made these cake pops before but I was so glad to find your video. I think my cake/icing mixture was a little too crumbly but I went ahead and roll the pops and put them in the fridge. I can't 'frost' them until tomorrow. I'm so worried that when I put the stick in them they will break apart. Your video has given me courage to try these so I'll keep going until I get them done. My grandson "loves' these from Starbucks - @$2.00 a piece...oh my! I love the way you decorated yours. Fingers crossed that mine will be not only edible but presentable for his birthday this weekend! Thanks for sharing!
I find that using a cheese grater to shred the cake works very well. 🍰

okay, doesn't this lady look like Jan from grease?
Okay! You make this look SO much easier than it looks!!! I cant get the chocolate thin enough to do what you get it to do. Ive tried twice. But they sure are GOOD!! I made spice cake, with cream cheese frosting and dipped in fall covered chocolates and fall sprinkles for Thanksgiving.
Your ideas sound delicious.
Everyone in the comments having a hard time, come on... You mix cake and frosting. Why is that so hard?
That was a great way to make cake pops! Does it bother anyone that she still had her wedding ring on while she was making with the cake pops?

denalees yes...it was the first thing I said... I don't like the fact she mixed it with her hands period. This is why its hard for me to eat from other people.. but it was a great tutorial

***** Don't think people realize that under your ring and fingernails are a whole host of icky things that live. Thanks to a friend, not a germaphobe but he did point out the obvious at times with people's habits. Like- Do you wash your hands before you get ice out of your freezer? It seemed crazy, but he was right about these things.

denalees I remove my engagement ring before cooking but never my wedding ring. My wedding ring has never been removed since i got married last year. My granny always told me its bad luck to remove a wedding ring.

Okay. I clean under my rings a couple of times a day. It is like fingernails, who knows what is lurking under there. My ring is not especially wide, but wide enough to trap water under it after I wash my hands. It is like my friend, who would ask you to wash your hands before you got into the ice cube bin. You just might forget where your hands have been before you get into the ice bin, so wash them just in case.

+denalees no it does not bother me , i am not eating them and i am sure if did eat them i would not mind as bakers usually wash their hands million time while making something . . . . .
love this recipe! I will so try this at home!
DEFINITELY doing this for my sons graduation party. You make it look do easy. I hope mine turn out as nice.
You are my ultimate favorite, thank you so much for your videos!!!!!
Loved it that you really take time to explain every single detail in your video!
its so detailed!!! I LOVE IT!! great job!!
she simply explains every step carefully, i think it's a great and informative video!
I've never actually done it, but I've read that you can freeze the cake balls before they are dipped in chocolate or candy melts. However, I would defrost them overnight in the refrigerator, because if you dip frozen cake balls then once they defrost they expand which will crack the outside coating.
They look great! Thanks for the good idea!!
I watch your video so man time over everything i love your work and you are amazing
this tutorial might be long, but it's really comprehensive, answered all my questions!
Thank you sooooo much. This video was very thorough and well explained. Extremely helpful (:
Those are SO ADORABLE!
Thank you so much! I've been waiting for this tutorial!
You can use dark or white chocolate for dipping the cake pops. You don't have to, but you could add a little butter, oil, or shortening to the chocolate so it lowers the chocolate's viscosity which prevents the chocolate from forming too thick of a coating on the cake pops.
Best Cake Pop Video on KZread. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!! Last minute decision for baby shower :-)
Very good tutorial.....I like very much with instruction cake pops......
I love your kitchen!!
If you live in the States you can buy candy melts at cake decorating stores, stores like Michaels and Joanns, or they can be bought on line (even at amazon).
You can use melted chocolate for cake pops. I've never actually tried coloring white chocolate but you could always use colored sprinkles to make the cake pops colorful.
I think she is really good at making them and she shows you really well.
Omg I love this video its a really great way to decorate the cake pops
the sky is the limit with the toppings for the cake pops! :-)
Great!! and Many Thanks for the making. Surely my dear wife love it...

Yes, you can either use homemade or store bought frosting. And it can be any flavor.
