Caitlyn Clark is like a total solar eclipse, possessing the unexpected power to cause us Americans to overcome all our differences and come together as one united people in favor of solar eclipses and basketball because we are so awestruck of never having seen anything quite like this before. And we should remember, an eclipse occurred just a few days before Clark's entry to the WNBA and interpret this as a sign of good fortune for aspiring astronomers and basketball fans everywhere. O my people! Thank God for solar eclipses and Caitlyn Clark! That was fun. 😂

NBC should be knocking the door down of the US Womens Olympi Team Selection Commitee. Clark needs to be on that Paris Team. I hope her dream doesn't turn into a NIGHMARE. She can play basketball, but the level of hate she will face is likely to be soul crushing. Her Dream Team experience will be a great prelude to what she will experience in the WNBA in terms of vitriol from teammates. Taurasi hates her already. The coach needs to cut Taurasi to send a message to the rest of the team and the WNBA. This is a once in a lifetime chance to grow a fan base. I doubt the players can resist constant backstabbing.

Caitlin Clark was at first the Canary in the Cultural Mine of WBB, now she is for the entire culture. - She and her coach and teammates did everything the right way. If we can't treat them right and enjoy the excitement and great role modeling they've given us, then we know we've gone further backwards than the time of Tiger Woods - when most of us came together to buoy him past the gatekeepers. - Besides the pettiness of the hive mind following cheap race politics and all, the national championship game was a travesty. One team is completely made up of five star players, they lose five and get five more and then "coach of the year". Nobody but homers is buying it. Five teams have won 70% of all WNCAA championships. The incredible competitive imbalance of player distribution, whether through direct collusion or lack of oversight, destroys the sport. - Clark and Iowa just showed the country that 500% more people want to watch women's basketball, but they want to watch fairly built teams with the best coaching around great talent, not a modern Red Auerbach controlling the recruiting back door. - We are about to see the biggest drop in viewership of any sports league in history. If the WNBA doesn't wake up from being angry and woke they're about to drop the biggest ball that anyone's ever dropped. - Imagine a reality where haters ruled the Magic and Bird story of inspiration.

It's always taken a complete team to win. Even before Tennessee-Uconn. In the AIAW days Immaculata won three straight, Delta State won three straight lead by a true pioneer Lucy Harris, Old Dominion won back to back, Louisiana Tech won the penultimate AIAW and the first NCAA tournament Championships. USC went to three in a row and won back to back , Old Dominion won another before the Tennessee reign began. I don't knock South Carolina because they had a good team. Iowa already got a five star commit, guard Addie Deal from California and there will be others. As for nobody caring about SC win but homers. I suppose that's enough. But ultimately teams play for who's in the locker room. They are making their own memories, we're just watching.

  • @destinypirate

No one cares about non-sporting teams of all-star players that stop organically developed competition. SC and the WNCAA made a travesty of the championship, Iowas fields 1 5 star and a team built on development and the best coaching we've seen. SC fields a team of 10 5 stars (with an Emperor's New Clothes narrative that 'coach of the year' Staley ''rebuilt" by taking 25% of a class' 5 stars to replace 5 who left) and continued the talent-distribution perversion of sport that has been destroying wbb for decades. - We will see the result of this when next year the biggest drop in viewership history, of any sport, hits the WNCAA gatekeepers. Maybe SC can go 190 and 0 getting 30 five stars in 6 years, or maybe UConn will do the same. No one cares about monopolization of talent in sport being sold as competition.

Actually she will be making more money. She will get a salary playing Wnba ball , I think for a rookie it is $76,000.00 , plus all her endorsements deals go with her. Unlike in college where she didn't make money from university of Iowa for playing.

We all have eternal life. The question is where will you spend it. Jesus died on the cross for you. He who hears my word (JESUS) and believes in Him (GOD) who sent me will have eternal life! He will not be condemned, he has crossed over from death to life. John 5:24

One player can't change the very poor product of the wnba! Numbers go up temporarily, but when people actually see it, they will be very disappointed!

Hopefully the new generation of shooters coming through college can help space the floor and improve the overall product. Women's college basketball has improved a lot in the last few years and I do believe that can trickle up to the WNBA.

South Carolina doesn’t have a player with the impact she has. South Carolina doesn’t move the needle. If a WNBA draft sold out in 15 minutes, And some of the other teams facing her are Already renting out bigger arenas just for games against her, that tells you everything.

Be grateful that she is bringing attention to womens sports. The college womens basketball has never been as popular as it has been with Catlin. Iowa economy along saw $82.5 million dollars thanks to Catlin. So no she's not over hyped.

What a random comment about a random player that doesn't even play the same position as CC, nor is Griner on a dominant team worthy of suggesting they/she will single handedly keep Clark from a championship.
