My own word😅 But her old coach would be a great fit, plus she has respect for her and Coach gonna know how to play her. And if she can play wit next to nothing in Iowa, she now have a little talent on her team. She probably secretly resented him for saying what he did at that speech. Add to that, he, like all overly religious idiots like him, try to spin it and say "It's just my religion" I was born and raised Catholic, and I call bs on anyone who says that kind of stuff and then says that they're holy and love all people. AS I OFTEN SAY, "PEOPLE LIE...NUMBERS DON'T": The TOP 3 highest-rated, most watched NCAA women's tournament games ever, ALL feature....Caitlin Clark. That is not a coincidence. IOWA played a game vs DePaul in Kinnick Stadium--an outdoor football stadium--and filled it with nearly 56,000 fans. That, too, is not coincidence. Nor was it because of anyone else. It was because of Caitlin Clark. People lie. Numbers don't. Nor do numbers see race or care about feelings. So huge is Caitlin Clark's impact, that it has actually been studied, dissected and quantified in dollars. Even the DRAFT drew millions of viewers. Even her 2 PRESEASON games BOTH broke attendance records. Caitlin's debut regular season game--last night--was the most watched WNBA game in 23 years. It drew 2.13 million viewers. By contrast, the reigning WNBA champion Aces vs Mercury game drew a measly 464,000 viewers. THAT is the Caitlin Clark Effect. Haters can cope or try to split hairs all they want. As I said, numbers do not lie. And if you think they're crying NOWWW....just wait until Caitlin's Nike shoe launches and outsells BOTH Aja Wilson and Angel Reese--combined. The amount of tears will rival the Thailand tsunami...stay tuned!

I won’t tune into a Clark WNBA game unless I’m sitting on the couch and there’s nothing else on. That’s my truth. No lie. Nothing against her. She’s amazing. The bad ones expect her to play the exact Iowa game that disappointingly led to their team to a loss to the South Carolina team. It is funny watching people realize the WNBA is broken. It feels way too obsessed with creating jobs for older players and coaches with 90s basketball mentality. It is crazy that college players have 4 weeks to prepare for a league where older mediocre players just throw their weight around to make up for a lack of talent. The fever does need a coach change. Someone like CC should be focusing on long shots to take away that physical gimmick because new players need time before they can build muscle to handle the jobbers.

The league is absolutely stuck in the 90s, not to mention the seemingly high level of pettiness and jealousness of other people in the WNBA. People who say it is the same in NFL NBA when a hyped prospect comes in and all the vets want to give them a "welcome to league moment." It is not the same. These r people that have played in empty stadiums for years, had terrible TV ratings for years, been a joke in the eye of prossefional sports for years. There are people who have put their entire lives into trying to achieve what CC has in 2 years. There is undoudebtly going to be some serious jealousy. Espically when you play a game and its empty and then the next week you play the fever and its sold out.

Not even one of the CC fans calling for coach to be fired, but come on, no movement or purpose in the offense, star PF barely touched the ball, Clark needs pace, to have the ball, and people to move, none of these are happening. You dont fix things early, that record isnt getting much better, so id say watch that head coach closely

The movie is called “Juwanna Mann.” It’s about a black man who goes into the WNBA as a woman and plays pro ball. I seen it when I was young. Some of them were featured in hip hop videos years ago.

yeah, because nobody cares about winning in sports anymore. Sports have evolved from the greatest competitions into trying to be the greatest individual show on a nightly basis and it kinda grosses me out. But I genuinely do hope CC, Sabrina, Angel and Paige (next year) and the rest of this generation of female athletes are able to capture the American audience and make some real money. I hate the idea of them making more money overseas but being dragged away from their friends and family for months at a time just trying to make a living doing what they love. More power to them.

@@mikeemayhem3201 nope i think you take it into extreme. It doesnt make sense to pressure CC and Indiana to win it all this first year together. Its impossible. So knowing that, then it makes perfect sense to use the games to test different plays and then continue to be effecient with it. Right now, they look like desperate to win than to learn.

@@nr14989 I do see where youre coming from on this, but I also see a different side, the business side of players and coaches. I dont really care about the big business aspect of it. Billionaires can squabble over that stuff all they want. But what I see is that not trying to win every game leads to changes. Coaches losing jobs, assistants, training staff, clubhouse staff, other non-star players getting traded/cut etc. These are people who all have lives and families and would potentially be put out if their team doesnt win. Its the often overlooked side of professional sports that we as casual fans dont think about, but hundreds of families each and every year are at risk of having their lives upended because their team didnt win games. Like I said, I really do hope this generation of players can can help change the current situation, but we are a fickle fandom. When the next big thing shows up we will be onto the next. Just ask the USWNT. They have been fighting the same fight for 25 years.

Yes, CC's game will take time. BUT- the coaching for Indiana was indeed lousy. You know that CC's going to draw double and triple team coverage- are you running plays to capitalize on the resulting defensive mismatches? No. Are they running enough picks and screens to get her open? No. Are you pushing taking the easy quick 2 shots- of which they were SO many opportunities? No. The ultimate goal is to get the ball in the basket, and the Fever's game plan, so far, is not capitalizing.

It is kinda strange that the average shooting percentage in the NBA is higher than that of the WNBA. Strength and athletic ability are not really factors in a jump shot. Shouldn't men and women both have an equal chance of shooting a basket? Is it because of the average height? or maybe the style of play? I imagine there are more dominant centers and power forwards in the NBA and because they play closest to the rim, they have a higher FG percentage...just food for thought.
