It was, without a doubt, one of the most talked-about topics in the past couple of days. While basketball is a physical sport by nature, intentional body checks are still frowned upon - and most of the time result in a foul. For Caitlin Clark.
So, who is #CaitlinClark? She is considered to be one of the greatest players in the history of women’s college basketball, especially known for her scoring. As a guard for the University of Iowa in 2024, the 22-year-old player became the all-time leading scorer in NCAA basketball, surpassing Pete Maravich’s record of 3,667 points. Unsurprisingly, she was the number one overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, selected by the Indiana Fever. What’s more, her widespread popularity has helped increase interest in women’s college basketball.
Some say that Caitlin’s love for the sport is a part of who she is, growing up in an athletic family. Although she played various sports, she eventually concentrated on basketball and was a phenom from a young age. . Her grandfather recalled that, by the time Clark was five years old, she could dribble a basketball and already displayed great anticipation on the court.

The trite but true phrase, "There is no I in team" comes to mind. Reporters can be rude and selfish. Clark made an important point there. She obviously didn't like doing it, but felt it had to be done. If they're going to have several players out there, the press should pay them the courtesy of asking questions of all of them.

For almost 30 years WNBA popularity has remained pretty much flat. Then Caitlin comes on board WNBA and then all of sudden WNBA recognition blows through the roof. But keep in mind, it's all the Clark games that sell out, nobody else games are selling out. Cheapest Tickets sells go from $18 bucks to $90 bucks each when Clark comes to town and then back down to $18 when she's not there. That is Kelsey Mitchell. Her body language reflects rejection of Catlin Clark and distain for the journalists questions. I think Kelsey has been with the team a few years and makes 6 figures and Catlin only makes 5 figures. Kelsey's behavior off the court and on the court - portrays an image that Kelsey thinks she outranks Catlin and she is not going to give Caitlin any respect for her basketball skills, nor cater to Caitlin in any way because she is just a rookie. Kelsey is a good player but the outward appearance of repeatedly not passing the ball on the court back to Caitlin and the expressions on her face tells a story that she barely tolerates Caitlin. This league of women athletes at least need to sit the same distance apart, sit up-straight, stop fidgeting, and stop putting their hands over their mouths and on their faces when they speak at a Press Conference. Yes, Clark, Mitchell and Boston should take control of the press conference - they should announce to the reporters at the beginning of the conference that each team member will answer 2 questions then the next team member will be asked 2 questions and rotate. I need to stay off social media, I write too much.

Not for the basketball, but to see just how well she copes with the negativity that seems to follow her from what can only called racist and bigoted people. All strength to Caitlin, she is a leader and a person to be proud of. Not being selected for the Olympic side, well, I don't know enough about the game to comment, but based on views of people in the know, it appears to be a ridiculous decision and if it is another racist ploy, it is despicable.

Caitlin Clark Until stumbling over a news item, I had less than no interest in women's basketball, at any level. . One Second of seeing CC-22 impersonating Stephen Curry hooked me! The second second and I realized Caitlin Clark wasn't copying anybody! . Because what I know is based on clips showing her shooting half-court 3-pointers and making magical passes, reminiscent of Magic Johnson to Kareem when everyone in the stadium and home in front of their television KNEW the Sky-Hook was coming and nobody could stop it, I see patterns where the playing style of CC-22 is changing the team. Boston figured out that all she has to do is get below the basket, stick out a mitt and the basketball would appear in it. . Anyway, I think she is playing perfectly, playing her game and letting the team adjust to things like having a pass actually come to them, and supporting each others play. I think I see a team in name becoming a team in practice.

the increase in viewership is because America loves an "underdog/cinderella" story. Can Catalin's addition to the last place Fever turn it all around. The seemingly "hostile" response of the veterans in the WNBA has only contributed to this narrative. if this was planned (which i don't believe) then it's genius marketing. In any case it has brought the attention that the WNBA has been whining for for years. Hopefully they have the intelligence to logically analyze and then maintain this pattern and success. The failing NBA of the late 70s was reaurrected by having new stars arise and the fostering of fierce rivalries. Maybe the wnba can find success developing a similar biography. Wish them well in the endeavor, not sure if they can overcome their natural cattiness though.

Good video..except the Rees s...t .she fouls when she cant beat her opponent, everybody mistreat her when she looses but its her being a dog when she wins...you dont mention that her rebounds are also the result of her lost attempts, her statements besides ridiculous showed us how much she is jealous of CC skills and the people who support her, (everyone I know only found out who she is cause she was the one celebrating the other jealous player who tried to hurt CC cause she couldnt reach her level) and that fairytales about her in and out the court as you said....wtf should I care how she looks out of the court?

The non stop promo blitz for the past year, all but ignoring all other sports to force a supposed "professional" sport that cannot defeat a boy's high school basketball team... again..... it just is what it is... Caitlin Clark DOES look good playing out there... But you have to realize what she's playing against... Caitlin's exact skill set in a boy on a high school basketball team would make him an average at best player... and the WNBA calls no double dribbling or travelling... It's very hard to watch that trash when you KNOW and HAVE KNOWN it is wrong for all of your life... It's like watching NHRA Funny cars and now you're supposed to get excited about the pinewood derby...
