    CC gets em to the brink of victory and Sides sits her at a critical juncture because of a defensive strategy. Never mind CC had FIVE steals and three blocks. That didn't matter anyway. Kelsey, who was shooting bricks all game, asks for an on-ball half court screen that ends up with her dribbling away precious clock only to pass to CC anyway. Kelsey tried to shoot her way hot all game and it wasn't happening. CC got hot in the 4th and they shut off her pipeline. I think CC is gonna have to figure out how to take and make her own plays and shots in critical moments.

    Clark posted an historic stat line on Wednesday night that had never before been accomplished in WNBA history: 29 points, 13 assists, five rebounds, five 3-pointers, five steals and three blocks. And how did her teammates respond to that performance? Only two other players players scored in double-digits - one of whom only scored 11 - and the rest of the team barely contributed in what turned out to be an 89-83 loss.

    Clark really needs to stop these crazy cross court passes. Also, I know that logo threes are fun and all, but even for Caitlin, they are low percentage shots. They should be out of desperation, not just because she feels like gambling.

    This is a perfect example of poor officiating. The refs did not set a standard in the beginning of the match to prevent this type of behavior from both teams. The mystics realized it early and capitalized on it allowing them to get away with multiple fouls throughout most of the game. CC realized it and adapted to it as well. This is why they did not call those push offs. They would have looked like they had chosen favorites. This is also why VanLoo was flopping so much. She was trying to make it obvious to the refs. This type of officiating happens way too often in the W and not just with Fever games.

    Sooo..., the team that (ahem) "beat" the *best* team in the league, The Liberty, couldn't -- with 3 days off to rest, & playing at home -- couldn't beat the *bottom ranked* team in the East!...: the *Mystics* ! Hahaha!!... The *Mystics* won the 1st, 2nd, *&* 3rd qtrs!!... It was Mystics *26-17* end of the 1st qtr..., *51-37* by halftime...; & **76-55** at the end of the 3rd qtr!!...: a *21* point lead! With the *Mystics* having a maximum **22** point lead!! The score was still wide the 1st half of the 4th qtr, so I guess the ending score was closer because the Mystics gave their benchies some time, but had to throw the starters back in when the benchies weren't quite ready for 'the *stearing* wheel' all the rest of the way. I like it when the *Mystics* let the Fever *think* the Fever jussst mighhht win..., but like Lucy with Charlie Brown, the Mystics snatched the ball completely away at the last second!... Hahaha!!... Maybe it was also the Fever's *23* TO's!!... In *10* minute quarters!! And *ddayyumn* ...!!: the Fever *starters* made *15* of the Fever's *23* TO's!!... That's *23* times when the Fever *had* the ball, & suddenly it was *ggonne* & headed *the other way(!!)* with a Mystics player!! So what?: "The Grate Whyte HYPE" had 29 points... She *shud* be able to score 29 points against the *Mystics* . But I see the refs are letting her *blatantly push-off* defenders for step-back 3's like her glory days back in Iowa! Otherwise she wud at most have *23* points. But, a *Mystics* player, Ariel Atkins (at only 5'10") had *26* points (only 3 less than The GWHype!) -- and 2 *other* Mystics starters *annnd* 2 Mystics benchies were in *double figures* too!!... Ohhh I know that Mystics victory musta been *sweeet* ... -- against the team that (ahem) "beat" The Liberty!!... *GO MYSTICS* !!...

    Naww, Mr. Angelo, I definitely beg to differ my friend. You're absolutely correct when you assert that she's ALWAYS gotten away with that push-off BS, before hammering 3's. I think that because of her smaller stature, it's smart of her to do that. Especially against bigger, and/or faster players than her. MJ and "Mamba" did it quite well, in the NBA. The "differ" is, she's a great OFFENSIVE player, not complete player. C.C. shoots light's out, always has and she always will. However, we've seen since her Iowa days, that her defense is average at best. Additionally, everyone is talking about how she turns the ball over quite a bit, but she did THT TOO, a lot while at Iowa. IMHO, being a great player in any sport, denotes having a complete skill set, i.e. with very few, or very limited, holes in your game. That's why she's not a great player. Angel Reece is not a great player. Nor many other, up and coming, rising WNBA stars. Now A'ja Wilson on the other hand, is better, smoother, sharper and more complete as a player, than Reece and Clark, together. End of Story!!

  • @angelowhite4701

    @angelowhite4701

    Well smart of her to get away with a full arm extention and not a little shove doesn't the rules matter or is it just she's your favorite player. I remember having my grandson who was awe of Michael Jordan like all of us was but I told him the MJ got away with a lot of stuff. When he went on KZread and started watching his games he came back and said he walked all the time, when people stole the ball clean and made a good block on they got a foul called onthem anyway. You see although I was a big MJ fan I am not like you. I respect the rules of the game as well as the players. What I don't respect are those who throw the rules out just because they like a player so much. Miss Caitlin Clark is awesome and is the best talented rookie but I will not lie about the grace she gets. It has nothing to do with how she is defended. Does a player make you lose your integrity for the rules and the game?

    Funny, when Clark retaliates against another player her Stans rush to defend her thuggish behavior, but when a black player does it, they're criminalized. Very interesting indeed. Clark should have been ejected for her thuggish behavior. That's not what we need in the WNBA, and she should not represent the hard-working rookies like Angel Reese who are playing the game the proper way and letting their spectacular play speak for itself.

    You just made yourself look even dumber if that's even possible. It was a 3 point game with a minute left in the game. The only one stat padding was Reese who asked the other team to foul her with 5 seconds left in the game so she can get a double double on a 10 point lead. Pathetic.
