She also made history Wednesday against the Mystic, becoming the first WNBA player to ever record 29 points, 13 assists, five rebounds, five 3-pointers, 5 steals, and three blocks, and tie a NBA record that hasn't been repeated in a game since 1974. Those blocks also make her the league’s only rookie with 35 steals and 20 blocks this season. Her performance also saw her beat Sue Birds record with the most double-doubles with assists by a rookie with four. As of Wednesdays game with the Mystics, Clark has 6 Double - Doubles this season. Along with her Triple double that made her the only rookie in league history to achieve that milestone. Her numbers for the month of July are historic, as well with, 20.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 12.3 assists per contest. If she continues her recent success, Clark will own the WNBA’s first-ever 20-point and 10-assist month as well. She is the fastest player since 1998 to record 150 career assists. She also the fastest to reach 350 pts in 22 games another record. She is 16th in the league for pts scored and the only rookie in the top 20. She is also second in the entire league in assists. Clark is also just the second player to lead a team outright in points, assists, steals and blocks in a game; the other was Houston's Cynthia Cooper in 2006. With her 29 pts and 26 assisted points, Clark had a hand in producing 56 of the 84 pts generated during Wednesdays game against the Mystics. Clark currently leads the league with most points scored or assisted on for a total of 731 points generated as a total. There is 1 player in #WNBA history who has recorded the following stats in under half a season: 381 Points 175 Assists 136 Rebounds 65 3PT made 35 Steals 20 Blocks Her name is Caitlin Clark and she still has 17 games left in the season. Let that sink in 17 more games in the regular season left and possibly play off games as well. Just think about that....

Could this be a betting thing? “Coaches Decision” is an easy way to explain throwing the game. I wonder if there were any “betting inconsistencies” associated with this game? What were the odds that the Fever would beat New York, then turn around and loose to Washington? That bet would have paid off big time. Maybe we are all looking at the WNBA the wrong way.

It seems the message to Sides from the WNBA is to hold Clark back. Why else would she pull Clark in situations where she could score? It makes no sense. It's happened twice now with no rhyme or reason to make Clark sit on the bench. The first time was when Clark almost got the first triple double and missed it by one. Sides had to be aware of it. Then today why didn't she want Clark to have that last shot? She also pulled Clark when she was getting hot. Was she trying to slow her down? If she is, Caitlin isn't having any of it.

Honestly, I don't think Sides is holding Clark back, I just think, Sides is not a very good coach. She doesn't seem to have the vision to feel what is about to happen on the court in the next in several scenarios. Sides has a starting lineup and changes the formula after beating the NY Liberty. What? Why? I will never understand.

Respect to the whole team. They were a cellar team. Clark might be the catalyst, but they are all stepping up - the whole team - as individuals and as a team - are getting better. If Clark left today, they'd still be better than they started. That's what I hope this moment is about - not Clark vs. Reese - not Clark vs A'ja or the old guard - but seeing women's basketball move up from AR-style 1-dimensional awkwardness and shuffling to the kinds of dynamic play that makes games thrilling to watch and thrilling to play. it's too early to tell, but I hope that this moment - whether it's Clark as catalyst or just the moment for it - it is moment when the league transforms, like when Curry changed the NBA. Anyway - first time I've seen one of your segments. Nice job - thanks for doing it.

But the opposing teams are helping Angel Reese a lot with extending her double double Streak. Did anyone see the Chicago Fire game today? With just 5 Seconds left in the game, Reese only had 9 Points, 1 point short of extending her double double streak. But the opposing team helped her extend her double double steak by purposely fouling her ( when the game was already over) so that she could go to the Foul Line and Hit 2 Free throws, giving her 11 Points for the game and extending her double double Streak. With the way these WNBA games were scheduled for Fever right at the beginning and the way Sides really looks to be sabatoging this team it makes me wonder who all are getting kick backs to stack it this way. She is either getting kick backs or had a hugely passive aggressive coaching technique.

She says it was a coaching decision as if she wasnt the coach. We know it was a coaches decision, we want to know WHY the coach made that terrible decision.

You know there is not doing your best, or just being average. But Sides is just anti-good!

There is some obvious point shaving going on in some of these games and CC has brought unwanted attention.

When they won against the Liberty, I knew they were gonna lose the next game no matter who it is because that's what Sides does, she totally changes what made them win the in the previous game and does stupid shit on the next game.

Hey! Sides was just trying to be fair and equitable to all her players and not favor just one; give them all a chance to shine. I mean, professional sports shouldn't just be about winning. And winning strategies are just boring.

Sides is the only coach I know who purposely goes away from the hot hand when they have a chance to win the game and put it in the hands of someone who was 0 for 8 putting up bricks all day and is not a playmaker. She also continues to take Clark out for “defensive” purposes at the end of the game. Although Clark is not a good defensive player, none of her teammates are any better and Clark has height to get blocks and is a clutch player at the end of the game. If they did get a steal, you want the ball in her hands to push the ball - not call timeout to stop the ball.

Is it just me or does it seem funny how hospitals can be sponsors of pro teams? In Milwaukee you have Froedert and now I see Asuncion St. Vincent?
