    I thought they were defeated in the Levant, under the command of Salah-El-Din Ayubbi? He did control Syria and Egypt, but I don't see that they were defeated in Egypt 🤔

    @@andrewasksquestions Louis IX was captured in Egypt by the Mamluks and Saladin'S army was Egyptian and ruled from Egypt the capital. Egypt defeated the Mongols Crusaders and it is the only country that defeated Israel this is what we are proud of as the heritage of our country

    It really depends on what your priorities are. For the most part, people in Egypt live hour to hour. Of course, they have dreams and want to accomplish great things, but it's just a different world over there. Trying to guide 120 million people towards change is almost an impossible feat. The new generation is vastly different though. Most of the modern Egyptians, and those who have experience living outside of egypt, tend to move towards the new capital.
