Cairns to Adelaide in a Motorhome | The Outback, Australia

An unplanned, one way journey into the outback as we travel from Karumba (just south of Cairns in Northern Queensland) to Adelaide (South Australia).
See the spectacular scenery as we travel north to Karumba on the Gulf of Carpentaria and then down through the middle of the country, visiting Devils Marbles /Karlu Karlu, the West Macdonnell Ranges and Uluru... among other places.
You'll get a bit of a feel for what our motorhome (Maui Cascade) was like (spoiler, they're awesome) as Nat pushes outback mobile internet speeds to their limit and continues to work online from some of the most remote places in Australia!
We never had any places booked and chose to go at our own pace, discovering some incredible spots and one of the best free camp sites you could imagine. I would recommend this trip for anyone interested in seeing a quintessential part of our beautiful country - we thought it was incredible.
South Australia was rushed but if you enjoy this video, be sure to check out the 4 videos that cover our campervan trip from Melbourne to Perth over 2 months the following year.
* Footage is shot using a GoPro and a Mavic Mini drone as well as a Samsung S10 mobile phone.

Another great video guys. Super dynamic. I can see the growth in your editing skills from your first ones, though I have loved them all. The music complemented the images so well. Once more, you have showcased areas I have not been to, and didn't know were so breathtaking. This also gives great insight for people considering a nomadic lifestyle. I would add a map each time you talk about a milestone. Other than that, it is fantastic. Looking forward to seeing the next one!

Makes me want to go back to the red centre. It's been too long! Loved the cows running across the road and it's amazing you got so close to a thorny devil. I will be telling hubby about the incident in Mt Isa, as he's a bit 'relaxed' about security ;-)

I would think most viewers would be envious of such a fantastic iconic bit of travelling you and Nat are doing. From a story telling perspective I have heard from KZread creators that poor video can be forgiven, but poor audio can ruin a good bit of storytelling!! Pay attention to the audio track. Also… did you know you can use the drone camera as a hand held gimbal camera. One more point, it might be worth the investment in a DJI OSMO pocket, fototripper makes great use of this camera, Finally get Nat more involved, as these travels include her too. Good luck with your adventures. I’ll be watching with envious green eye. Love the Aussie content 👍🏼. Keep up the excellent storytelling 👍🏼❤️🍷🇦🇺📷

Hey Bruce Thanks for watching and your feedback is much appreciated. To be honest, I cringe watching any of my old videos back - it's interesting how quickly my own expectations have changed... Audio in this one really frustrates me and I've made it a priority since. Will try and get Nat a little more involved... not sure she shares quite the level of interest but agree :) It was an epic trip that one - will never forget some of those stops! Cheers

@@LifeDunnDifferently Mate. I watched your vids South Australia in a camper an and then W.A in a camper van and honestly couldn’t fault them. You talk really well, your clips don’t drag out too much. I also love all your drone shots too. I like it how you mix it up with music, a bit of talking including a great intro. Your end of video extras all blend together to make it really good quality. For me personally, I’d like to see a little bit of a tour around each different Motorhome you hire. But that’s only my thing. You may be a smaller channel than I am but I think your quality exceeds mine. I should be asking you for advice. Keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll be earning a quid for these in the near future. Also thank you for subbing and supporting my channel also. I feel like I’m slowly improving Means a lot. 😃👍

  • @LifeDunnDifferently

This was when most of the country was locked down so we got it very cheap... they had a lot of availability and we negotiated a deal for a van up the coast SE QLD and then took the motorhome to Adelaide. Normally starts at about $250 a day but they do have deals fairly regularly.
