Also the part where both needs would be wobbly is just BS. Guys blackout all the time and some may still be standing or even drop on one knee. I had this happen to me in a school fight, I went to take the dude down, was hit in the back of the head during it, it was broken up by some teachers right after that blow and one of the teachers took my arm and started walking me to the office, as I was walking I got tunnel vision for a sec then blacked out for a couple seconds after that, I almost fell but I actually came back and was still walking and was just in a haze. Same thing happened to Cain where he said he was out at that point on his feet, so he went out after the blow and was actually still fighting for a second then one leg gave out. All depends on the blow, that’s why when announcers say “he’s hurt” a lot of the time its after the dude was rocked and he may be still fighting but he’s just in a daze and may not be too aware of his surroundings

Strikers need better control so wrestlers can grab their legs w/o the danger of being knocked out. Already no kicking to a downed opponent who missed a takedown. Already no knees to the head to punish bad shots. Already the hand down mat game. Next eliminate punching. Its not fair for the guys who just want to wrestler-ape their opponents.

If you're talking about when he was out *on his feet*, there was nothing clear about it, in real time; he regains consciousness so quickly that the ref didn't realize it/didn't step in, and Cain himself says he didn't even know it until after "*really* looking at the tape". Francis can't see Cain's face, but he *can* see a man still standing in front of him; what would make him think--much less *know*--that Cain is unconscious? If you're talking about *after* Cain goes down (not that it matters, because A) this isn't boxing, and B) not only has he regained consciousness at that point - he's actively defending himself, both by covering his face with his left hand, and rolling to his right): Francis hits him twice while he's on the ground--both punches thrown in less than one second (seriously, you can see the clock go from 4:37 to 4:36)--then pulls back so as to avoid connecting with a 3rd punch, as the ref is in the process of stepping in. Short of developing superhuman speed and/or the ability to see the future, Francis could not have done more to ensure that he didn't unnecessarily harm his opponent. (And it wouldn't be unreasonable to say that his ability to pull back that third punch was borderline superhuman, under the circumstances).

Cain got hit so hard he died but his spirit kept fighting. Knee said we're done, son.

You don't expect a fighter to throw illegal punches or kicks or knees for that matter. It could have easily been scored a DQ. He's just stating an obvious point. He's clearly bothered by it and he's right but that's the fight game. How many horrible decisions get called every year. Hitting the back of the head is great TDD but it's also illegal. That was his point.

I love the Prime Cain story. Prime Cain was KO'd by JDS. JDS gets no where near the love! Cain is amazing and his speed, cardio and wrestling were monstrous but this loss, regardless of Prime Cain would have happened the same as Francis hurt him badly
