ELEVENTY BILLION FREAKING DOLLARS ON A PROJECT AND NOBODY CAN BUY A DECENT FUCKING CAMERA?
This is transportation infrastructure. It should be prioritized and funded like a highway would be. We have a budget surplus. We can afford to build the system, if the Governor doesn't squander the money forcing social programs on people who don't want them. As for the trains: I doubt we'll get 500 series shinkansen, but the color scheme looks infinitely better than the ugly blue trains they usually show is.

Interesting how he attacked the defense department cost but ignored how much CA spends on illegal immigrants.

So, we are supposed to disarm the military so we can ride on a train? Should we also invite our enemies into our homes, too? Let terrorists attack us on our soil? Let international drug dealers poison our children freely. Men are not angels. There is a reason for our military. Can not we learn from our recently history? If the choice is between life and liberty vs riding on a train then I recommend funding the military.
