Check out my Part 2. A full 1 to 1 complete comparison of the GF80 vs GF110: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oJZ_1JWFmN20p6Q.html
Thanks Mike, I’m still trying to choose between these for my 50s11. Great job.

Thanks, I hope it helped! Kinda technical, kinda not. Ultimately I don't think you can go wrong. The biggest difference IMO was that the 80mm has a pretty noticeable chromatic aberration.
110 has my vote!

@@MikeBanom The 110 has that special sauce 👌 that's the one on my mind.
waiting for your review about 250mm,Thanks.

I aim to have a video comparing the XF50-140mm vs the GF250mm in the next week or two. The review of the 250mm is a bit further out as its going to be a long one and a more intricate video. But it will be worth the wait!

Let me give u a 1 sentence review lol - if u can manage the price, the limited focal length, the weight, the f/4 aperture then the GF250 is one of the best lenses ever made (in my opinion even nicer rendition than that GF110) with a fabulous image stabilizer :)
110 for me all day and night long 😴 😌 ✨️ I enjoyed my ownership period for 80mm but it was not my cup of tea. Too wide and not wide enough. 60mm equivalent isn't a focal length I enjoy. Great work bro!

I agree with you 100%! I cant wait to get my hands on a 110mm again!
Was you using continuous focus or single focus? The 80 1.7 isn’t the best for continuous focusing with sharp focusing.

For the 250mm, I'm assuming it was on continuous focus yes. I'll see if I can try it again with single focus. I typically always have it on that. I was impressed with the eye tracking with the 80mm. For video if I move back and forth in my chair, wouldn't I be a bit out of focus with single focus? (obviously would have yielded better results, but just talking)
I've heard that the 1.7 DoF some people say is too thin? I'm not sure the conversion, but I know that 1.7 MF is faster than 1.7 on FF. So maybe it's more like a 1.0? Not sure.

It is def very thin. Even the 110/2 is hyper thin depending on the angle. I have a 1:1 video coming out soon, a part 2 if you will stay tuned!

@@MikeBanom Definitely will. I ordered a GFX with a few lenses and it's coming by the end of the week. I don't shoot portraits often, but do like a telephoto landscape shot every now and again. The 250 may be in my future, but I'll be waiting for a factor refurb or used. In the meantime most if not all of my X-Mount lenses are going to be up for sale. Don't think I'll miss them too much.

@@ams914 Congrats on the purchase my friend! So exciting! Check out the video I have on the 250mm. It's absolutely incredible, but… it is a really really large lens. I actually tried the GFX on and off for over a year before I purchased it. When I didn't have it, I didn't even want to touch my X series gear. You wont look back!
I have the 80mm and I see a lot of chromatic aberration, the 110mm also suffers from this?

From what I found, the 110 is pretty minimal.
And the focus drifting is why I’ll never consider my Gfx100s for serious video work.

The 250mm isnt great for video use, but there are faster focusing lenses. But yeah. This is a photo camera. Phenomenal for studio and street work!

Hi. Honestly I don’t think you can tell based upon the images. I am very interested in this comparison but this did not help me compare the two. Sorry to be negative but this just did not help.

I appreciate your feedback! You weren't being negative. I think ultimately my point is you cant go wrong with either. But yeah. It's not super technical. I will tell you… if you have any interest I have a similar video but comparing the XF50-140 vs the GF250… that I promise you. It is a 1:1 super pixel peeping video! One day I hope to redo this video but go really technical and truly 1:1 comparing.
I’m thinking about the 80mm but I think I want the 120mm

The first 2 lenses I will buy (hopefully buying my own GFX and lenses very soon!) will be the 110mm and the 120mm. The 120mm is going to live at my studio! It's a great lens. You cant go wrong with it!
That autofocus lol
