Cafe Racer Motorcycle Seat Build: Part 2

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Sewing custom motorcycle seat cover for a 1975 Honda CB360 Cafe Racer!!
This was my first time ever sewing, so there is definitely a lot of room for improvement. Overall I am pretty happy with how it came out.
Make sure you watch the first part of this two part series, where I show how to make the fiberglass seat pan that this cover goes over.

I was soooo hopeful for the finished product, the work that went into it it deserved to look so much better, but credit where credit is due I doubt I could have done any better, full marks for effort my hat is off to you sir 🙌🙌

A for effort - I sure as hell could not have done better. I think what caught you out a bit (just theorizing here) was that you transferred your template line, which in essence is your stitch line, and later used it as a cut line instead. I might be wrong, but that's what it looked like to me. I'm going to make my first attempt soon, and honestly - I'd be impressed if I do as well as you did.

How much did all material for the seat cost you? Good work 👍

How did you attach the vinyl upholstery to the fiberglass mold at the end?

I used Gorilla glue and clamps to secure the vinyl to the seat pan!
