[Caesar's Legion Parody Song] "NCR Man" (Anti-NCR Version)
NCR man is a song originally written by the NCR as a military march ( • [NCR Military Song] "N... )
It deliberately sounds different to the typical Legion songs because its a parody of this NCR song.. A favourite of the NCR radio, the Legionaries got so sick of hearing it that they wrote their own parody, changing the lyrics and mocking the original message of the song. It was written to mock and degrade the NCR's bureaucracy, Old World ideology, and military incompetence, whilst contrasting it against the forward thinking view of Caesar's totalitarian state. Whilst not typical of Caesar's Legion marching songs, this song is essentially a parody over the original stereotypical NCR marching band instrumental, This stylistic feature adds to the mocking and sarcastic tone of the song.

DISCLAIMER: This song sounds a bit different to a typical Legion march, as it as a parody of a pro-NCR song! See the NCR version here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nJiKppqpp9TKgrQ.html Lore: The original "NCR Man" is a march composed by the Republic, glorifying their soldiers and values. The Legion version was written as a satirical parody, changing the lyrics to mock the NCR whilst keeping the original instrumental of the Republic's own military march. The song was written to mock and degrade the NCR's bureaucracy, Old World ideology, and military incompetence, whilst contrasting it against the forward thinking view of Caesar's totalitarian state. The marching band style heavily evokes stereotypical NCR military music, and is very atypical for Legion marches. However, this stylistic feature was intended to add to the mocking and sarcastic tone of the song.

Which sane civilian would side with the tyrannical Legion?
This give me an idea! Why not make the legionare singing like they was telling a legend? A legend about the Caesar's beginnings to make the Legion and his campaign of unify the Wasteland. Maybe challenging monsters like the undead of Sierra Madre while recovering ancient tech to make the life of the people better and his Legion stronger. After all, the Legion wasn't made in a day by a great man.
Sometimes i forget that legion actually has civilians and slaves are just a lowest cast while there are traiders and farmers and not only from tribes. So yeah, having parody song on NCR march is pretty much fitting their war

Every soldier from recruit to legate is a slave
Not only do you have songs that fit in universe. You have the enemy of a faction parodying their anthem or songs. So much story to be had. Loving these
This one would actually fit exceptionally well in universe since most of the music that survived the war has that mid-20th Century flavor. Naturally, new music made would try to emulate that.

This is definitely very fun and bouncy. Not 100% sure this works as a legion song? Maybe a little friendly? Oddly I could totally see this more as a odd Enclave fake friendly song more than The Legion

This and ncr version made me realise how fnv lacks some kind off folk art. Like there was 2 versions of one song in Skyrim.
Reminds me of WW1songs. Nice

Thanks for that! Yeah, it was intentionally done to make fun of the NCR, by parodying their own music style. Fair point though. I wanted to try something a bit different and I can see it didn’t quite hit the mark, I won’t do it again.

😂😂😂 **Philosophy** *Tenet Pax Romana* (27BC - 180AD) At the core of everything the Legion does is a higher ideals Much Like Real Roman's Totalitarian, unified, fortified. We will achieve this through the conquering of other tribal forces, Make No Mistake in thinking that entities such as the NCR are above a tribal force. They are as tribal as any other entity. Operating under a single name or banner. When one joins The Legions they are not merely pledging themselves to pay-checks and a good time. Once these forces are conquered they are assimilated into the Legion, Tossing away any bad parts of old culture and absorbing the good parts into the Legion. A good example of this Purge-and-addition tactic is the Hangdogs tribe. We took from them the ability to tame wild hounds. and nurture future generations of tamed dogs and whatever wasn’t needed has been tossed away. The genetic successors of that tribe now carry the banner of Caesar and fight in his name. This is the process under which Pax Romana will see its final victory. Unified. is one of the, if not the most important, Tenet of Pax Romana. Without unification we will not succeed, The infighting of old tribes and organizations ceases when You come under the banner of Caesar.
Hail ceaser
I enjoyed the song, very quaint and fun ) Though I have to say, lore wise, The Legion isn't much of a producer of culture, especially upbeat military songs even though they mock the enemy. I could imagine however the NCR making little songs mocking the Legion, it fits their bill more. Like a Chad/Soy meme: "Sorry Legionnaire, but the enslavement will stop B)" Or like a Dixie parody: "Away far East in the land of traitors, Deathclaws Ghouls and Rodent vermins Right Away, come Away, Right Away, Come Away Where bull heads king and men are chattels NCR will win the battles! Right away, come away, Right away, come away We'll all go down to Hoover, away, away. Till legion boys will understand. That they must mind the taxing man! Away, away! We'll all come down to Hoover!" You get me :D
