@@Bythirteen Well obviously you do not. Every car sold in the usa shall have a yellow front side marker light and a rear red side marker llight. if they do not work you will not pass inspection in those states that require one. Since you are removing that light should the car be in an accident i hope you have good liability insurance as the modifications you are making can result in a judgement against you. We have lighting laws for a reason and bypassing those are illegal. As an accident investigator i welcome you showing im wrong.. The reason these lights are so expensive is the fact if an led goes out they can fail inspection otherwise people would drive the cars with two or three out.

Hey ......, Can you come up with a similar, viable, simple solution for the front parking/directional lights issue (heat melting of the inner lens) , transitioning from the 1157 directional/parking bulb to an LED unit ? Bill

Does the "~$1000" mean it's a 1000$ upgrade? I am interested in getting an XLR and trying to gauge the cost of getting a replacement vs potentially sending them to you for upgrade should anything fail

I don't think "getting a replacement" is even an option TBH. There are places that specialize in repairs of these tails and then there's me: I do custom builds and installs.

Internals only correct? My outer housing was cracked in a hot and run.
