Their North American sales are stagnant but globally (except EU) theyre doing quite well. When Cadillac was last #1 in America (1998? 1999?) they sold just under 200,000 cars worldwide. In 2015 they sold over 270,000. The difference, however, is that the brand was previously stronger. In 1995 a loaded Seville STS, adjusted for inflation, sold for over $70k. Today the ATS and CTS start at a much lower price point. They are, however, *far* superior vehicles. It's a mixed bag.

It amazes me how many folks who review large luxury sedans here on KZread say nothing about the ride quality of the car. All they talk about is handling and vehicle dynamics. C'mon guys, this is a premium LUXURY sedan, not a sports car.

beautiful interior. i love how simple it is !!! people need to bring back the simple interiors with high quality materials. "luxury" is way too often confused with amount of tech and gadgets stuffed into a cabin. This is a really nice, sleek design .

At first I was unsure of the styling, but after seeing many videos of it I absolutely love it especially in black! Cadillac did a great job and I love the fact that we have another RWD American luxury sedan again, other than the 300. I would really like to see Cadillac come out with a larger convertible and change back to modell names again instead of the generic lettering. Eldorado, Deville, Seville an fleetwood were great and memorable names (except perhaps fleetwood). CT5, 6, 7 etc is so plain-jane and doesn't even indicate engine size like BMW's 520, 535 and so on.

People ripping this car up without even driving it let alone driving anything other than the pathetic plastic box they drive everyday is a little ridiculous. Cadillac is quite simply on a roll and making some amazing cars which best their competitors in almost every way. In actual fact I should have stated that the GM group is on a roll producing some fantastic cars. Get out from your computer desk, drive some new cars, get an understanding of how they are built and you will come to enjoy what General Motors is up to and this is coming from a devout Audi fan.

ITS 8 INCES LONGER THAN A CLEARLY MIDSIZE CTS. SO STOP IT. ITS NOT STRADDLING TWO CLASSES. AND ITS NOT TO BE MISTAKEN FOR A MIDSIZE. THE THING IS AS LONG AS A CHARGER OR 300.

The car at 8:23. That’s real American beauty that isn’t trying to copy someone else. If you understand what makes a car American and respect that long history you’ll love this car. put a v8 in it and will it be perfect. What makes a car American and what is there to respect? Size, design, value. The mustang and Camaro represent all three. Find a euro counterpart and you’ll spend double or triple. Europe doesn’t make affordable and fun transportation that isn’t first an eco hatch. That’s a huge difference. People criticize American cars but don’t understand what they even are. Point out a 30k v8 two door sports car from anywhere outside North America. That’s why the mustang is the number one selling car in its segment. In Germany.

Most people would like to be able to compare the interior ambient lighting of cadillac's new flagship with the one of corresponding BMW and MB. However, most videos about CT do not sufficiently focus on the quality of the interior ambient lighting.

Aiming between the 5 and 7 series is a brilliant move. As a 6'4" 250lb guy my 550i can be a little tight. Especially considering how narrow the from door is. In fact it's impossible to rest my forearm on the top of the door without my elbow hitting the B pillar. I've driven the new 7 series. Besides being gimmicky, it's larger than I would like or need.

Seriously, reviewers will nit pick American cars and emphasize the flaws more than the benefits from the car. Whenever car guys review stuff they're always so biased towards bmw and mercedes. They'll claim 3-series and c-class to be the best cars in the world while they look at a Cadillac, and say it's a bmw wannabe or fake luxury. The ct6 isn't the end of the road for Cadillac yet. There's going to be a bigger, more powerful and better Cadillac yet to come. The ct6 is the best luxury car to come out of America ever.

6:25 - what? I definitely prefer RWD over AWD since I live in the area with almost no snow, therefore I don't need AWD. RWD is lighter, has less drivetrain loss and usually smaller turning circle radius (no homokinetic joints on front axle). My current car is RWD Jaguar and my next car will be RWD too.

It's a good looking car, but they should have made the interior bigger or the same as the s-class. It seems like they only make the rear seating comfortable for people 5'11 and shorter. The xjl, a8l, equus, and k900 all have low roof lines cutting down on headroom. I'm 6'4 and my hair touches the roof in the back of the s550. I don't understand what's so hard about making a real big car? They always seem to cut corners. I have to always sit in the front seat even in long wheelbase cars, but I always feel like the car is useless if I can't fit in the back. The Armada and qx80 are the most comfortable when it comes to 2nd row legroom and headroom.

JesdaG I am talking about the ability to run cheap gas if you have to, when there is no other option, My WRX will sputter and almost shut down if even by accident 87 octane hits the tank, My Cadillac EXT only sees 91 octane but could run 87 if needed, and my 4Runner easily runs every day on 87 octane...I am just talking about options.

I enjoyed watching the video...but, at these prices, Cadillac better be throwing in a lot of extra goodies like: 4 years/50,000 miles service, standard 4/50 warranty, 6 year/100,000 powertrain warranty and luxury amenities at the dealer. Cadillac still doesn't have brand cache nor does it have a good service record. Without thee aforementioned items, I see this car selling for $10,000 off sticker.

for that cost I would want personally a longer wider roomier car. Bigger engine. Maybe an 8 cylinder and get rid of the turbo.

I like the smooth lines. They're nicer than the CTS's sharp angles. Those angles remind me of the ill conceived Pontiac Aztek SUV - winner of the 'Most Ugly' award. But, as the largest of the Cadillacs, I'm surprised that a V-8 is not offered. I'd much prefer Chevy's 400HP naturally aspirated V-8 than a 400HP twin turbo 6.

The front, particularly the lights are still too ghetto. The rear is perfect, though. Understated and dignified, as befits a luxury car. Change the front to match that rear now, and you have a good package.

Love Cadillac - but unfortunately -like all GMs the reliability is a sticking point. When building and selling a Cadillac- the car should be as solid as a Rock. Reputation is everything - electronics, trans, drivetrain, interior, exterior elements should be perfect and last forever. Drive by a Cadillac dealership- and look at the service line -tons of them being brought in for issues. American car manufacturers don't get it - but the consumer does.
