The Cadets are taking brass. Let that sink in for a second. This is probably the best hornline they've had since 2000. I think that's pretty significant since you could barely hear the low brass at all on the 2014 Finals Blu-ray.

The ironic part is that the last time the Cadets won the Ott, they had ten tubas (2005). Whaddaya know. Great job this year, Cadets!

hturt4 Thanks for watching! It can be a challenge to catch their full hornline playing show music in the lot. But that isn't to say it doesn't happen often--it's just a challenge to stick with a single hornline for their whole warmup when you're trying to film multiple hornlines back to back. But I definitely would like to catch some of the high-impact points from their show, particularly their ballad.

I also stood and blocked traffic both times you guys crossed the street :P Thanks for the wonderful sounds!

Chandlor Gyorke Thanks for the compliment, and for watching. As far as the Cadets go, your best bet is to look on the Cadets Facebook page in the mid-morning for their posted schedule that day. The key times to look for are their warmup time, their gate time, and their performance time. Here is an example for today's show: facebook.com/cadets.org/photos/a.10150331537631349.394333.31303916348/10153546279496349/?type=1&theater Gate time usually around 10 minutes before they perform, and the time they leave from warmup to go to the gate is usually 10-15 minutes before gate time. So that leaves something like a 20-25 minute gap between the end of warmup and when they perform. They always play Rocky Point right before they head for the gate. Looks like that show is at 7 PM, so, with the national anthem, I would just guess the Cadets go on at anything from 7:07-1:15... But check their schedule for the exact time. However, please note that because they go on first, all these times could be compressed since they don't have to wait for another corps to finish. I would guess they will warm up closer to the stadium since they don't have to worry about being heard during another corps' performance--which would mean a shorter walk to the gate. Also, weather can be a huge factor in delaying performances. Have fun!

Depends on the show. If the time signature isn't even, then they'll alternate from right to left for every measure. Our band had to march a 3/4 show and 5/4 with some small parts of 4/4. Pain to march, but one of the better shows we've done.
