Nuggets fan here but been hoping for Detroit Pistons to be good again for a long time now. I think Cade is a special player but whatever they do I hope they get it all right cuz the NBA is better when Pistons are relevant!

07:33 also you guy are pointing out that player play better without CADE which isn't good. When CADE is in the games these player are not playing well, when he missed games they won more games, and played better together. CADE style of play with Monty coaching systems hinders other players from being active, in that system cade has the ball way to much stopping the flow of the game, you rarely see off screens, back cuts, motion in the offense, player hustling to get lose ball/rebounds. Also CADE being injured hurts his development with the team, and team chemistry. Thinks like understanding where team mate like to get the ball, their sweet spots on the court, where player like to get catch ball high or low for catch and shoots, and list of other things PG need to know..

Mostly because you can't tell what a good basketball player looks like and you think the difference between the team that wins and every other team is just who tries harder.

Because you can get a kings ransom and rebuild the team with Trajan guys. Hard to fire Weaver and keep all the guys he brought in.

No one on this team is untouchable imo. Even CADE. And i agree the pistons should not build around CADE until he show he is able to play 70+ gms a season. Why build around him not knowing if the players you get to fit his style of play will ever get enough games to see if it actually work due to his injury history. This is one thing i applaud Gore for doing not wasting to much money on build around him while he has been injured. Build a team, sign good players, do not build around CADE and if he is good he should be able to fit with the players that are on that team and make them even better.

Cade will never win if Monty stays his coach . I saw games where, in previous years, Cade used to close teams out with the lead in the 4th quarter. From Cade's college games & his brief games, he had healthy in Dwane Casey's system. With Monty as the coach, the lead on score board always evaporates. There were winnable games against teams like the Wizards, where it looks like Monty was paid by Adam Silver to throw the games!

    1. Trajan Langdon has the worst resume of the aforementioned Troy Weaver, Dwayne Casey, Stan VanGundy. 2. Brandon Ingram DID have an injury history in Los Angeles before New Orleans. 3. The Pistons need to bring veterans young enough to grow with the roster like a Jerami Grant, Simone Fontecchio, etc. even keeping Saddiq Bey over bringing in Wiseman to back up Duren. 4. Zach LaVine should 100% NOT be brought in due to his injury history and lack of defense, Lonzo is a great NBA point of attack defender whereas Cade is NOT. Similarly, Brandon Ingram is another high risk prospect that could continue to have a descending injury future. 5. Flannel in Correct, that the reigns should not EVER be haded over to Jaden Ivey over Cade Cunningham! Ivey is a forever Robin-type talent to a Batman-leader, high basketball IQ player aka Cade Cunningham. No matter how productive Ivey’s ceiling may take him, if he is your Batman in the playoffs you will always be a first round exit, AKA Russell Westbrook.

Cade Cunningham is untouchable, imo. He literally shouldve just graduated college just this year. He had the lower keg injuries that kept him out of true bb shape until mid season (according to him) Once he got his legs under him he was excellent in the 2nd half. Detroit shutting him down so they could once again tank like they've done with all their players the last few years was the wrong move this year. They should've stopped with all the fake injury tanking b.s. and let their young core finish the season, build chemistry, because they must learn how to play together. I dont see anyone complaining about this move but its another reason Troy was fired as im sure that decision was his. For anyone that thinks the injuries were real then you need to believe that with 20-25 games left every season last 4 years that Detroit top 10 scoring leaders all got hurt all at the same time. Its called tanking the league requires you to list injuries if someone isnt playing so to argue the injury bug is delusional. (31 players played, cmon)

In the case of Stan van Gundy he made some very poor draft choices and trades the hindered the pistons and as Gm and coach he was unable to identify talent in the draft Dwayne Casey was fired after being coach of the year for a reason...yes he was a good coach but not the right choice for a rebuilding team Troy made plenty of trades but didn't bring in the right veterans to mentor to youths as well the bust reclamation projects Troy also drafted players with little upside at the position and held on the some of his assets until it lost value....he also wasn't able to aquire first round picks for cap relief

Zach Lavine would literally rather have surgery than potentially play in Detroit, why is this still brought up? He is not a winning player, he was even disgruntled when the Bulls were winning. Bring B.I. to the city.

@@Organic_Lindo it was literally a joke on TV. Then various media, mostly local media in other markets picked up the story. Zach didn't get surgery to avoid the trade. Most likely him needing surgery is why the trade fell through. Although it might have been a failure to agree between the teams. If LaVine didn't want to be traded it would be easy to convey his displeasure in many other ways. Season ending surgery is way to risky to be used to block a trade. Plus the trade could still happen once he recovers. Will he have another fake surgery?

So far the pistons have not been able to get a roster that compliments Cades skils and we are ready to trade cade Cade play with front that couldn't shoot 30% from 3 The entire front court was best when close to the basket a fully clogged lane Cade was often double and triple teamed and never not the benefit of the refs whistle score 30 and 40 points without free throws...come on what are we talking about again
