Loved Rodney all my life, his is such a bummer story, especially since he didn't break out in comedy until he was like 50. I've seen just about everything he has done and his Johnny Carson interviews and love it. Kool Kid Kameron sir might be right that it hasn't aged well, but 1967 _was_ a long time ago and we had more cerebral comedians like Hicks and Carlin. The era of good one liners probably got overly abused when every action movie had to have them in the 80s and early 90s. Still, huge fan, was legitimately bummed out that he died when he did and the way he died. Surgical complications happen so easily when you're that old and out of shape.

I was in my early teens when this came out so it was a real treat getting to watch it at a friends house when it came on HBO. We were laughing our asses off while his mother kept muttering "you guys really shouldn't be watching this".

One of my favourite lines was Bill Murray saying “In the words of Jean-Paul Sartre, ‘Au revoir, gophaire!’”

The Bishop's quest for the perfect game is my favorite scene especially because the theme from the Ten Commandments is playing during the whole scene. Brilliant.

16:22 Yes, this movie absolutely holds up to the younger viewers. I remember watching this movie with my parents a lot as a kid and they loved it, one of their favorites and it quickly became one of mine. This is a classic and hopefully will never be forgotten.

So many great lines and moments. Another film that comes close to this humor would be Monty Python and The Holy Grail!!!! Two amazing funny films that I could keep watching over and over and still laugh. Close Third just throwing out their is Peter Sellers in Pink Panther Strikes Again. The Moat seen at the end, to this day I can't stop laughing when I see it.

This movie holds such nostalgic value to me. I would always watch it on TV with my dad as a kid and then as I was older my husband and I would always watch it when he would come visit me on weekends (when we were dating). The gopher and Rodney Dangerfield were always my favorites

This is equally my favourite movie ever with The Blues Brothers.

Lol Caddyshack for the past week kept coming up and now this. I think putting of watching for over 10 years must come to an end.

Justin nailed it early on, if the movie kept to the plot of the young kids it would have been a disaster. Rodney really saves the movie, even more than Bill and Chevy. “Hey Judge, you forgot your hat” kills me every time

Besides all the scenes involving Bill Murray's character and the Gopher, the scene involving the Babe Ruth candy bar in the swimming pool still cracks me up the most. XD

My dad showed me this movie when i was about 10, the pool scene was by far my favorite scene as a kid for the same reasons James mentioned. Love this movie
