Giving love to the analog pilots. The night footage is awesome! Somehow cleaner than the daytime footage.

The camera looks great and the low light footage is fantastic, but finding frames that will fit will be a challenge.

This is unexpected, never thought I would see another analog fpv cam review. Nicely done and the footage looks as good as hdzero if not better.

The Caddx Ratel was one of my favorite analog cameras. This new one has similar day time quality. The low light looks really good. Very narrow fov as you stated. That may be good on a surface vehicle, like 4x4 crawlers . 🤔 Definitely need to take care with mounting it in a frame, that lens sticks way out there. Happy flying everyone. 😎

Curious why they made this camera when the Ratel 2 was already the best. I suppose some people need to fly in super dark conditions?

Wow I thought that was HDZero image!! If only they could make this a nano sized cam I’d be all over it. I’m finding I love to fly my older analog builds more than the digital these days which is weird

Felt like a nice night time to daytime relaxing run. I still use these cams, not really into upgrading into HD yet. Seems very DJI reliant. The music goes with the smooth flying 10/10 🤌

Just upgraded to the ratel 2 on my baby ape 2 a few days ago! Great cameras, and great review! 😁

Yeah, the ratel 2 is the best camera ever made IMO

Analog is making a comeback! All those hdzero pilots need something to go back to! LOL!

It wouldn’t fit anything I fly but it looks great night and day. It was good to see Albert flying with a friend.

Man was super excited thinking there was a new camera out for analog for a quad :/

Considering how analogue DVR's degrade the image and color significantly, I find this camera is very close to HD in my Skyzone 04X when compared to my Walksnail system running at 720. Definitely another step up for analogue with the various other benefits that go with it and the price is pretty good too.. Cheers.

Analog cams are starting to benefit from the image quality required for the digital ones. The lens quality is going up as well as the sensor integration board.

Caddx did another good job on the quality

Thanks for the excellent review Albert. Really impressed with the night flying ability of this camera. With the steel case, I've got the urge to put one of these in a larger frame and figure out some protection for it.

Not sure yet. The current firmware doesn't seem to work with gyroflow as advertised so I am waiting for a fix for that first.

All of those are factors and even the DVR and how the video signal is recorded.

That's a nice camera especially with a metal case 👌

I wanted this for my tank. Top speed 1 mph 🤣 I drive it at night a lot. Was going to do on the rc car too with 5w vtx but they said vtx sold out till April so I put spare vista in

Couldn't you just fit a shorter lens on it for a wider view?

Maybe but it would change the low light characteristics. You'd have to ask Caddx since they engineered the camera.

Thanks for the review! That does look amazing for analog! I love the night view as well! Don't usually see colors that well at night. I think some protection is going to be needed since they took the little blue pill. It's soooo long! I am sad to see the field of view decreased.

Hmm might have to tell a friend who does night flights with one his planes at meetups. I agree not seeing this as a positive for a drone.
