Cabrini Green What You Don't See

"Every brick of Cabrini housed stories of inner city struggle, triumph, dreams and failures. They are stories as real and as poignant as any story about the American Dream. A dream that can turn nightmare if not given the guidance and council of mentors. Similarly to the Streets of Compton that struggled to recover from the crack epidemic, a new generation of youth found their voices and a way out through the help of community and some unlikely friendships. We are learning from these incredible stories of perseverance that those like, Kendrick Lamar, Serena Williams and the kids in this video can find their way above it all if given a chance.
I am one of the youth in this video (Isaiah Brooms) and this is the story of an organization that played a pivotal role in my success and eventual freedom. May this video inspire you to help someone get out or to encourage you to persevere." - Isaiah Brooms
