Cabinet fabrication

In this video, I fabricate the cabinet around the drawers - bigger, wider, taller!
No machining in this one, but tips on how this cabinet was fabricated previously and how it is configured now.

Hello, it shows an intelligent person who can recycle, rebuild, and restore an old project into something new that functions the way they want it too. Buying new equipment or steel is not always the best option. Have a great day, cheers. Wylie

Thanks. Another of the motivators for recycling was also that I did not know how to get rid of a 100kg steel frame! Much easier to cut and shut.😁

Turned out great 👍👍 I love how the commentators reaction is always to throw more money at a situation instead of just fixing what you don't like about something. Like money just grows on trees or like youtube actually pays the creators that make them BILLIONS of dollars a year a decent amount. 🙄

With 1M+ subs, maybe there is some spare cash, but that's not this channel... Glad you enjoyed.

Certainly has more utility than the previous version. I still need to make up lifting frames for a few things, but so far, so good.

Of course the drawers are too small... always are. A small pad of UHMW plastic mid-span on the frame might be a solution for the heavy drawer that is dragging.

When it finally irritates me too much I'm going to put a mid drawer brace in. At the moment it does not annoy me too much as the items in that drawer are only occasionally accessed.

A great recycle job. Why would one spend money when the materials are at hand, they must have to much money or love land fills

I took the left over pieces to the scrappy. Even after recutting and reuse, I had about 20kg of stuff left over (all small pieces - nothing worth keeping for the next iteration)
