Cabin Air Filter 2015 Ford F 150 XL (and glove box switch reassembly)

Replacing the cabin air filter in a 2015 Ford F-150 in the XL trim. With higher trim levels there may be more stuff on the dash to remove, but in general, the idea is the same. I actually don't know what that little switch is for that came apart on me, but I seemed to get it back together. It looks like it may be for a light. The only tricky bit is pulling the trim off and snapping it back on. Just keep working at it, and you'll get it.

I have done this many times but this time I noticed no rubber cover on the left side of the glove box like the right where thr nubs are. Also on the right side have a long tension plastic piece about 6 inches. I can close the glovebox, almost, and think one or both of these is why. Any ideas? Grateful for any insight- Jon
