Cabbages are one of the easiest grown vegetables and the most delicious vegetable. They can be easily grown in pots and is fun to grow.
Cabbages need continous moist soil and are heavy feeders so manage well in these aspects.
Take care of cabbages in case of pests like caterpillars and sucking pests which devast the crop. Regular sprays of Neem oil controls the pests.
It's always happy to harvest our own veggies after a period of hard work. Enjoy it.

That's a bit tough question... however if you are growing in a limited space used horticulture fleece to cover the plants. Horticulture fleece is something like a transparent net which acts as a barrier between birds, pests and the plants. If you are growing in a large field then horticulture fleece is a tough thing hence use some sparkling tapes flying above ur plants like some cassette reels. U can use water to deter peacocks as these hate water. By using motion detected water sprinkers can help in controlling the peacocks. These are involved with costs, so a better option is taming a good dog and train that dog to deter the birds in the fields its cost effective. Your family will have a good friend in the form of dog and the peacocks too have a good enemy from ur dog. Thanks for watching. Happy Gardening

@@SimpleGardening Thanks :) its in a large field, where I don't live, I will try the sparkling tapes which can be implemented immediately without much of overhead.
