This is a 5-part program. This is part one, Kansas City to Carrollton, Missouri.
You're on board Amtrak P42 "Genesis" locomotive #83 as we traverse BNSF's former Santa Fe mainline. Much of the old AT&SF is still 90mph territory.

I rode this train out of Chicago. We had to follow a commuter train all the way to Aurora at 30mph. Great dispatching.

Being almost 25 years ago since this was shot I would think they are probably retired from Amtrak now. It would be great to hear an update though!
