DOUGLAS DURST- DEFENDANT'S BROTHER
Robert Durst stands trial for the 2000 murder of friend Susan Berman. The trial began just before the pandemic in early 2020 and was halted two weeks in. The restart happened May 17, 2021, with the same jury panel.
The defendant’s wife Kathleen McCormack Durst went missing in 1982. Evidence and testimony would show that Robert Durst killed her, the prosecutor said. The defendant allegedly told Berman it was an accident and asked her for help. She served as his alibi.
Berman, 55, was shot execution-style at her Beverly Hills home in 2000, and the prosecution suggested that it was because of what she knew about Kathleen’s death and disappearance. As defense lawyer Dick DeGuerin would have it, however, Durst is innocent. His client only came across the body, panicked, and fled, he maintained.

Durst only stands trial in Los Angeles County, California in Berman’s death, but two other cases stand in the backdrop: the 1982 disappearance of the defendant’s wife Kathleen McCormack Durst, and the 2002 fatal shooting and dismemberment of his Texas neighbor Morris Black. There have been no charges in the missing persons’ case, and defendant Durst previously beat a murder trial in the shooting of Black, claiming it was an accident and in self-defense.
#RobertDurst - Lewin: Susan Berman dated a man with two kids, when they broke up she was extremely close to them and the daughter even lived with her. Mella Kaufman will testify that Susan told her she had been the alibi after Durst’s wife disappeared.

Both sides of the case agree that the so-called cadaver letter places Durst at the scene of the Berman shooting. The defense maintains, however, that it was written in a panic after Durst found his friend shot and killed.
#RobertDurst - DeGuerin says Bob went to Susan’s as they had planned and he found her dead. He panicked. He sent the cadaver letter and ran. “That’s what Bob did. He ran.”

@Vickie Phillips. Three murders committed over many years. His actions tie in together in different ways. ‘The Jinx’ a documentary on You tube explains it with the facts. He got away with killing his friend, neighbor and tenant. His first wife was never found so he could not be prosecuted.

I think Douglas Durst looks good for 76. How do you know he was partying and doing meth? Maybe look at his brother, the crypt keeper who is 78. He's the one who looks bad.

Your comment is based on what? My dad looked much worse at 64 and he did not drink alcohol or do illegal drugs but had diabetes which killed him.
Robert sounds very confident about what he says but yet this all happened in the 1980 and still know days times exact mins whereabouts ectt..I cant remember what I did yesterday lol

So it helps Douglas Durst’s credibility if he can explain urine in his garbage can and how he had a weapon on his desk - and is not a character assamitation🤨. Okay then.
