Also, FYI, my dealer informed me that when it came to the 20 versus the 2021 model year Corvette that if the order was placed before the 21 is available to order, you would be grandfathered in and paying the 2020 price. They were very adamant about that... So we'll see........

Keep updating us with the C8 production information. Really appreciate that. Especially any information on the convertibles in 3000 status.

The great news is the 2021 C8 is not going up in price period! They could have easily raised the 21 price $3000-$5000 but they didn't. Chevy you rock!!!

The Redliner I was hedging towards the red but that’s a very common colour. However Sebring Orange Tintcoat it is.

26 May 2920, They start the day with Covid screening. Then the get a safety briefing for working in PPE and how to wear it. Then they get training on the modified work stations. And the shift doesn’t all start at the same time. The 50 cars they plan to build the first week will be used to retrain the crew. When and if they have a 2nd shift they have to do it all over again!

Thanks for these great updates and not speculating! QUESTION: forgive my ignorance, but I wasn't really clear on what you meant about the expanded delivery radius (expanded to around 250 miles instead of 100 miles). Can you clarify that here or in another video? Much Thanks!

Hey Gerald! So previously the transport trucks had to wait for a full load for a specific city (or few cities) were available before they were loaded up. That inherently meant that cars were delayed because some would wait in Bowling Green for sometimes over a month until a truck-load was ready, before being loaded for delivery. Now, they've basically expanded this. Essentially, this increases the cost for them but it helps get the cars to the customers faster. I'll for sure clarify in the next update but figured I'd try and clear things up here for you too :)

I think you were given incorrect information. I have read from several sources and there are several KZreadrs that are Chevy dealers saying that only status 3000 will be be 2020’s

Damon, I'm really sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the GM that gave you that info is incorrect. Like I said in the video, I have multiple contacts that work inside the plant, and then confirm some of this information with dealer reps for certain districts in both Canada and the US. You will get your car, but it will be a 2021 MY. Now it MAY be delivered in 2020, however it will be a 2021 model year, if you are at 1100 status right now.

~5000 2020 cars total? Might I ask where that number comes from? It's drastically lower than on other forums, and you may be right.

What are the details on the exhaust are you keeping that a secret

Not true im at 1100 sold allocation and my car order is going to be pulled in about 2 weeks and should be arriving in august just sat down with the General manager last Tuesday ordered my car in November of 2019

My dealership only had ten spots 4 are being delivered and im number 5 the general manager said he had plenty of points to have my order pulled in the next few weeks i will keep you posted but thanks for responding

If they only maxed out 70ish cars a day pre covid ( partly due to suppliers ) what the hell makes anyone think they will double that within a couple weeks of restart ? That is insane wishful thinking. 400 parts suppliers who all have their own covid protocols to adhere to. Dream on !
