I have the cream dial version and the legibility is actually really good in real life. The light catches the hands and indexes very well and means it's highly legible despite the lack of contrasting colours.

If I were to get one that would be my pick 👍 on the light brown strap .

The early watches put me off and as a result I've never liked them...
beautiful, cool, elegant, all the best words can be said about these watch. thanks for the review.
Ever since CW dropped the Christopher Ward splashed on the dial and just went with the logo, I've really liked them. This reminds me of some of the Seiko 5 Dress KX that have the diver style markers but a sporty case. Of course this is a few steps above the Seiko sports! Has a bit of an Alpinist look too.. Really like the date at 6. I'd love it to be 40mm to 42mm but this smaller size is in fashion so I see why they did it. Excellent review!
They have been growing on me as well Thanks for sharing another killer review my friend and Stay Frosty 👍
I really like this brand. I own three of them. The C63 Sealander GMT white dial. The C63 Sealander 36mm black dial, and the C63 36mm LE oxygen/silver dial. I really want one of these too, blue dial variant but I’m gonna behave myself lol. Great review btw 🫡👏🏾
Awesome watch, cant go wrong with a c ward. Thanks for the vid mate 👍 👍
I have the 38mm Trident and 36mm limited edition (purple which is now sold out) and I can vouch for the outstanding quality and value for money of these watches. Very good review! I can’t wait to see what they come up with next

I got the purple as well and don't find it too feminine looking or small on my almost 8 inch wrist. I haven't tried the strap yet and the purple strap may be a bit much.
I have a 38mm CW Trident Pro which is great quality and fits my small 16cm wrist ok, but I agree with you that female end links would make a big difference, generally improving the look and fit of an already v good bracelet.
Has a lot in common with the C65 retro diver which I own, and honestly is a nearly perfect watch. I’m tempted to add a Dune, even though it’s similar. Actually, *because* it’s similar, actually.
CW C65 Dune is hands down one of my favorite line of watches. Proxima has a close version I think, PX1960-2A. Not nearly as nice of course and just in one color. Thanks for the great review!

I am afraid that reference doesn’t exist
The Dune is making me inch closer to buying a CW. Never been entirely sole on them before, as much as I'd like to be. Top review and comments. Thanks.

I have the diver version of this. This looks to be even better. I will tell you, you will not regret getting it, if you do. I wore my C65 in the morning today, and my Tudor in the afternoon, and I was telling my wife, the CW has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of at less than 1/4 the retail. The Tudor is better of course but the C65 wears like butter and the bracelet is just about perfect, like extremely close to actually perfect. 4 years in it’s still keeping excellent time, too. I genuinely believe the C65 family of watches are some of the most comfortable, high value for money, watches out there.

@@visiblemode Top tip. I should love CW as they're based just up the road from me and I don't know why I can't commit. Your comments are valuable in my possibly wasting more money 🙂
Big fan of the Hands on this watch. Love the Trident
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.

Finally! Someone makes the Dune reference!
I find the dune version most appealing,if I hadnt already Laurel in cream I would pick this one for sure
I'm not sure about sw200, considering all the issues with the movement. However the watch itself is very well constructed
In my own personal (humble) opinion - this is a dress watch with a field/sport theme especially in this price range.
Having just recently received the 36mm cw in purple I was quite surprised at how short the bracelet is. My approx. 8 inch wrist doesn’t require any links to be removed at all. I don’t know if the slightly larger models come with longer bracelets or if you can get extra links if you ask them to resize the watch for you and you have a larger wrist. I would hope so.

I think they may provide this option
Nice review, but knowing first hand, CW doesn't back up their warranty...what a shame!
I cant decide on the dial color. Since i just bought another watch with blue sunburst it kinda stands between Green or Black..! I think green looks slightly better on the bronze vertion but i dont like bronze-patina on a bracelet. The black i am aftaid will turn out too subtle/boring.
6 o'clock date for the "W"! Symmetry maintained. Typed while wearing a Proxima PX1697 (CW65 clomage, a damn good one). Date should always be at 6 o'clock unless accompanied by day, in which case the President configuration with the day + date at 12 o'clock is a great, symmetrical configuration. Never understood how/why 3 o'clock became so prevalent.
CW should need to make an Aquitaine in bronze with bronze bezel and green face.
Ill probably never buy a CW but they look nice
Does the steel bracelet have a quick release? Also, there is a bracelet resize option available on the website. If I resize the bracelet to 17.5 cm would that mean the shortest length of the bracelet would be 17.5 cm and could only be microadjusted to be longer? Or would 17.5 be the midpoint and the bracelet could be microadjusted to be either shorter or longer?
@TheWatcherReviews

Yeh it is quick release and uses screw links so best to resize yourself. I dont know in which way they would resize, guessing it would he proportionate.
mines on the way, bought 1 day before prices increased. 🙂👍 BUT, ghe dune gmt was limited and impossible to find already😢

That's exactly what I thought when I received my GMT they was no where to be seen online then all of a sudden there back on the website for sale? I was late to the party and bought mine in March and was told it would be this May before I would recieve it. However I got my GMT 2 wks ago! My number is... 109/200

What size wrist are you? The watch looks great

6.5" or 16.5 cm. Yeh perfect fit for this wrist size..great diameter x lug 2 lug combo
Does the Dune wear a lot bigger than the 36mm Sealander? The dials look very similarly sized.
@TheWatcherReviews
Жыл бұрын
It wears a touch bigger and better overall. The sealander wears a little too small.
I think their Sandhurst dial is a little too sterile and the type b dial on the cranwell is too busy- I’d love it if they brought out a type a cranwell- closest we’d ever get to an affordable IWC Spitfire- horological perfection
@TheWatcherReviews

I much prefer the Sandhurst over the cranwell, not a fan of military but I love their sealander dial set up, in this 38mm it would be perfection
I have the GMT Dune which was limited edition and now sold out. Superb watch for under a grand, superb build quality and finishing, beautiful piece of crystal, no QC issues whatsoever, excellent lume that lasts all night. I got it on the canvas web strap but then bought the bracelet which is also superb quality. They are a brand that are doing really good things right now.

@@a.j.e4349 yeah CW make good straps generally but the canvas webbing isn’t their best mate I agree. I ended up buying the bracelet for mine, should’ve just done that in the first place.

Just contacted Mike France and he's sorting out a metal bracelet for me due to the issues with the holes On the webbing black strap. Can't get hold of there's customer services like but the main man himself is an absolute diamond and he's charging me at the old price before the increase too!👏
Unfortunately there has been a price increase on their watches over the last few days. If it was the original price, I wouldn’t of hesitated in ordering. Great detailed review as always! 👍

You’re absolutely right. CW is to blame for that price increase. How dare they, while every other company else in the world is lowering their prices. Sic.

Look great but very expensive! 😢😢😢😢
CW cases are the best in the world
To me Christopher Ward kills their small watches with that huge male endlink! I never understand why some company’s make these awesome small watches and then put male endlinks on them.
Oh my God. Completely different watch than the one advertised on the website. It can be said that 100% non-compliance with the contract. Colors are also considered non-conforming goods. It's a tragedy how a so-called manufacturer can afford something like this. You have to be very careful with microbrands.
Love the dial colour and dimensions but I'm not happy with how CW swapped existing dials into another case. Cheap attempt to make extra money and no creativity. Bit pricey for what it is too
1k € for this watch is insanity...

I used to think that until you compare with the equivalent swiss watches. It's the best value for money, and it has much better finishing than brands like hamiltom and some longine models.
Do they use the sw200 elaborate?
