One of my favourite C64 SID tunes of all time. So dramatic and powerful.

The way Hubbard interpolates percussion into voices that are already doing something else is always amazing to me.

around 1:35 emulating cymbals with rapidly modulated triangle waves (plus possibly ringmod or sync, can't tell) ... definitely creates the desired effect! I absolutely LOVE this kind of stuff, getting the most out of so little!!

I waited a while for him to appear at the Sid Symphony event in Hull but it was late and I had a long drive home so I gave up. I wouldn't have known what to say to him other than to thank him for all the music.

Definitely one of my favourites. Hearing those bell sounds as a kid during the intro music and the game music always made my spine tingle (in a good way). While not from the same composer, Stormbringer (one of the White Knight sequels) also had a nice theme as well. In fact, pretty much all White Knight games do.

Rob Hubbard and Martin Galway were the Gods of the SID! To this day, i rarely have heard anything, that even came close to their musical (and technical) genius. Chris Huelsbeck, Ben Daglish, Dave Warhol, Richard Joseph, etc. they all were good, but not even in the same city, let alone the same ballpark than these two Masters!

Let me disagree about the late Ben Daglish! If not technically up there, the melodies were at least as good!

This Oscilloscope view shows clearly the simple basics and varieties of the C64 Soundchip. Indeed it´s one of the most famous and also my favorite tune ever made! Greatest art!!!
