35 yrs or so on and those digitised screams still make me giggle hahaha! I notice as an adult now the Dictator's voice in the knife fight is very British 🤣

This was really involved for 1985. This game was a masterpiece for its era. We see it as so simple now, but it was complex. Ground-breakingly complex, in fact, because you could be either side, and controlling things was hectic! Now it's no big deal, as I said, but that's the beauty of technological progress. Too bad, though, that things have slowly been sliding into casual and idle games, or Call of Duty clones. Less effort to please the masses has given us another glut of bad games. They come with a lot of rewards for playing a long time, but no interest in doing so for the player.

Totally agree, games back then had so much depth rather than all these mindless shooter games now.

This game style was quite similar to Raid Over Moscow, I wonder if there was the same creators. I love them both. Even more this.. Quite fun to play on 1vs1

It should. Same company did the speech. As a matter of fact @7:11 is the key.

I don't remember how, but it was possible on that last level to hit the guy and then throw 3 quick ones, so he would say, "You can't hurt me....ugh, ugh, ugh, argghhhhhh" and fall. lol. My buddies and I would walk around the school yard repeating those words and the rest of the school must have thought we were nuts lol.

On the “rescue” level if i recall correctly, shooting any of the 3 doors on the compound wall made the prisoners walk much faster. That made the level much easier to complete.

Ah those nights of bringing your drive over to a friends house, notching disks, screaming break neck speeds of 300 baud on the BBS's, letting your wargame dialer go all night recording carrier signal numbers, cracking games, oh such fond memories.

It was speed of the underground hatches that made me laugh!

Always make me laugh all the voice sounds expecially the axes fight. Lol

this is a way better version than the Atari computer.

Never played this game, but that knife throw looks awesome.

This game was not as easy as it looks here. As a child, I did well against family members regardless of was I Dictator or Ally but I did not blame them...
