You inspired many of my interior projects, I did the stereo, seats, sound deadener, LEDs. Everything red on yours is purple on mine. I also added aftermarket speakers and a subwoofer.

OMG! Thank you so much for making this content and sharing it! Currently watching the market and plan on getting one in the next year or so. While educating myself on C5'S and C6'S.....im drawn heavily to the C5 Z06 vs a base C5. The GS and Z are out of my preferred budget. Hated to sell my 16 Cadillac xts vsport but it's opened the door to the possibility of getting a Vette!

How do you get your driver side airbag cover to stay looking so nice? The wheel looks great in all your videos! I love the matte finish/look, but after cleaning the sticky off, it always seems to re-appear eventually.

Thanks man! Not too crazy. Just have to source a 00+ Gauge cluster. You CAN use a 97-99 cluster but it involves more work (soldering etc)

Interior looks great Mark. Do you know if there is any functional difference between the regular MGW shifter and the flat stick ? Also what is the O-ring for on the wiper controls?

Both the same. Just the top mount adapter to the respective knob is different. 👍

Did you originally have torch red carpet and seats?

The carpets are original. Seats were the "mod red" Z06 seats. Black with red inserts.

What paint did you use for the interior.

Ahh man I'm drawing a blank. I know I mentioned it awhile back in a video and I'm out of town. I think it was a valspar flat spray. Let me see if I can figure it out. **Edit I figured it out. "Rust-Oleum American accents Flat black spray". I found it at Lowes.

Would you feel comfortable doing a 500+ mile road trip in your C5? I’m considering buying one but want to know the reliability for long trips and daily drivability from an owner in 2022. Thanks

100%. I've driven it to DC and back multiple times with no issues. (450 round trip) these LS motors are crazy reliable. Put 120k hard miles on my 06 GTO and it never gave me any grief. Just make sure belts/hoses and fluids are squared away.

I daily drive my C5 most I’ve done to the engine is oil changes and washing my filter Hasn’t left me stranded yet or anything serious has happened. Parts are easy to find just incase

I did a 900 mile road rally in mine. Gave me a couple trouble codes, but it was a great weekend in my C5. Keep up on maintenance and they can be very reliable.
