Excellent tutorial! The tape on the socket trick was a new tip and very creative. I can't count how many times over the years I cursed out loud after snaking my hand into the most contorted locations only to have the screw / nut fall off the socket upon contact!

Thanks SM. After building 2 aircraft, I learned all sorts of ways to install and tighten fasteners of all types. Your feedback is why I do videos such as these. Best to you. steve

I really liked your video. Maybe reattaching the spring is real easy, but it would've been nice to show how you did it. Another way I've found to retain the bolt is with thick bearing grease in the socket.

You can remove the bolts bu moving the air duct below a little, and take out all the fastening bolts for the light and the case/holder for it. I was losing my mind on the first side.. but saw how it all went together and did the other side in maybe 5-7 minutes, swapping bulbs and everything

Putting the tape around the bolt head to hold it in place is brilliant. I've used that trick several times, and it works every time.

Johnny, I am sorry that I somehow missed this comment, and did not reply back. Please forgive me. The floor jack is from Harbor Freight and so far has worked perfectly. I really like it. I made the wood parts myself and they are not attached to the jack. I think what I did is google "jack up a C5 corvette" and I found a good write up on how to do it at the front and rear axle areas. I do not use the jack points at the side of the car. If you want me to send pictures of what I built I can do that.
