@@flyingchimp12 I recently read "Going Rogue" by Sarah Palin. She wanted to be formal, using Senator and Governor. The McCain campaign insisted that she address him as Joe. That is why she asked. I think it was another of many mistakes by the McCain campaign. Later they wanted to blame her for "going rogue." That was when she was at her best, when she ignored them.

Everyone hates on her but I think Tina Fey did a great job here

@@sanjitsarda7555 I disagree. I think the stage was set for a democratic wave. Bush was deeply unpopular and no matter how much McCain tried to distance himself from him it didn’t work. Obama offered prosperity whereas McCain just seemed like an unrelatable politician. And while yes Palin certainly hurt him as it eroded his credibility it wasn’t the main factor in my opinion.

Biden interrupted first. use a stopwatch. They each got 2 minutes per question. when President Trump interrupted Biden after the first question it should have been open disc because Biden had already gone over his time. Wallace let Biden just keep talking. during the first open discussion Wallace let Biden talk most of the time. he would tell President Trump hold on and then look at Biden and say "go ahead sir". during President Trump's answer on the second question Biden laughs loud twice and then cuts in. it was still the President's two minutes. TIME IT! I don't blame President Trump for taking over. He wouldn't have gotten his point across otherwise. listen to their substance. Joe wouldn't even answer basic questions.

I watched this to see if Biden has lost any cognitive function. Unfortunately it seems pretty clear that he was a lot sharper here in 2008 than he is in 2019. Age has had an effect. I say this as a supporter of Biden. He trips over his words now at a much higher frequency. He use to be really sharp and a top notch debater.

Remember when this was the craziest person that Joe Biden ever had to debate?

I've long thought that this was an EXCELLENT debate. Very civil, good questions, excellent moderator (too bad she passed on). Joe Biden, even though I am a conservative, proved he is capable of debating. but it's amazing how much younger he looks here! Can't believe it! I really want to say though, Sarah Palin's performance in this debate was truly wonderful and totally underrated. She got her point across, she was detailed, she was poignant, compelling, concise, civil, she was great. They both were very civil with each other though, and that was the best part.

He was just your everyday average American pool lifesaver, but with the addition of a chain, for offchance occasion he ever need employ it around swimmers with pomade in their hair and not wearing haircaps to the pool, that he could then wrap said chain around aforementioned offender('s) necks if they pulled their switchblades out when Popcorn Joe confronted them that they must wear haircaps should they wish to enter the pool as per pool policy. I'd watch a movie about Joe Biden's life story, if and _only_ if, Joe Biden tells and narrates the entirety of it and with instruction it need not have direct or relative parallel with recorded history (for the sake of artistic license and entertainment). Preferably directed in the style of Sergio Leone's American Wild West films/genre.

The vast difference between this debate and the most recent Democratic debate is mind boggling. It’s depressing.

I honestly think she didn't do too bad. She likes to talk, but then she just starts repeating herself. She should've kept her answers short instead of repeating the same message, just saying it differently.
