Thank you for posting Mr Lewis's essays. I have found most of the stuff on KZread to be slightly offensive if not downright antagonistic towards my Christian beliefs. Mr Lewis's essays/commentaries are a breath of fresh air amongst the stench that is out there on youboob. Thank you so much for posting his essays as they are extremely enlightening if not down right encouraging. God bless this channel 🙏

The elephant in the room when the US Congress wrote the Constitution was the fall of man in Eden. The founders knew that the government must be answerable to the people who are sovereign. Jams Madison wanted and got a federal government as opposed to a national government. What is needed now is a review of the tendency of the Supreme Court to legislate from the bench as if it were the Congress.

Are you referring to Roe ending, or beginning?

@@evan7353 I’m guessing he means beginning since people on both sides of the aisle will admit the reasoning was flawed

I find it interesting that he supports the concept of democracy from a negative perspective, not that everyones good enough to be part of the decision making and that that would be fair. But that no ones good enough to hold it alone. I wish he'd live long enough to see today tho. We've tried it everywhere in the west now and everywhere we have failed miserably, choosing people without the slightest sense of responsibility or loyalty, democratic governments making stupid short sighted decisions to stay in power. as well as having turned people against each other in the UK but especially in their vassal kingdom the USA We're also less informed than ever before. Majority of voters aren't informed and politicians are intentionally dumbing education down to maintain or increase uninformed votes, as the most unfortunate truth is that a uninformed vote is easier to get and count for as much as a fully informed vote

Poignant undressing of the current woke state of affairs. Lewis could see the future. A true genius.

Could he see the future? Or was the past not quite as rosy as we imagine?

@@toddbonin6926 Indeed, there is nothing new under the sun. But his need to declare these subtle truths, in his way, that ring so true today, was his knowledge, like the gospels, that these words will live forever. No doubt influenced by Chesterton who declared as much, once he figured it all out.

Ralph Cosham. Fun fact, he's the VA for Jauffre(and other characters) in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. He passed away back in 2014
