Here's a fun and brisk Jazz Blues play-along in the common jazz key of C minor - for you guys to practice improvising some cool jazz solos. Remember it's essentially BLUES, so you can always start with good old C minor pentatonic!

On the track, you will hear extensions of these chords - as is common in jazz of course :)
Scale suggestions:
C minor pentatonic scale - C Eb F G Bb
C minor blues scale - C Eb F F# G Bb
C minor scale - C D Eb F G Ab Bb
Ab7 chords:
Ab Lydian Dominant - Ab Bb C D Eb F Gb
G7 chords:
C harmonic minor scale - C D Eb F G Ab B
Or
Treat G7 as an altered chord and use the altered scale:
G altered scale - G Ab Bb B Db Eb F
The altered scale - or superlocrian - is the mode which starts on the 7th step of the melodic minor scale, so in other words - the notes of G altered scale are the same as those of Ab melodic minor scale :)

Well... the music I’m making these days is actually getting closer and closer to jazz (latest track Birds is here open.spotify.com/track/4xxWKwlax3kKHiUcZwt2fN?si=RKpleRGGRAKwwR_RF9Rbjg ) - and I have actually talked to some friends about recording an album (they’re straight up jazz musicians). They’re on the other side of the earth. Obviously these times are challenging, so who knows what the world will look like in 1 Year... but never say never!

Lots of bass, treble rolled way down and a gentle touch on the guitar :) I fixed my main electric bass, but yes this is double bass played on my keyboard hehe :)

? Is the solo transcribed in TAB and also notated on a staff? Looks like it but when I went to the link to purchase I couldn’t confirm staff notation. I’m a sax player
