This will always be my favorite Celine era. Water from the moon and Power of love were on constant repeat during my teen years. Man, growing in the 90s during the time of the “power ballad”, we had so many achingly beautiful music. No wonder we were so filled with angst. Lol

This is one of my favorite music videos of Céline, The black and white video fits her so well, and maybe the best-writing song by Diane Warren

For me a great song by celine dion, i hope she soon overcomes her illness and can return to the stage to enjoy her enormous talent.

At one point in my life, this song made me cry so much, making me thinking about my relationship with my father who never seem to appreciate me.

It reminds me so much of my relationship with my mom when I was growing up. She was extremely ill mentally and seemed to have two personalities … sweet, loving, caring “Mom” and “Bertha” the name my brother coined for her scary, mean, abusive and psychotic sidekick who dominated our teen years. I tried every single thing I possibly could to tame Bertha, to please her, to calm her, to make her love me. It wasn’t possible. She always said I was Dad’s favorite and I was just like him. He left her and she hated him. Bertha hated me. I’d hide in my room and pray God would bring Mom back … beg him yo send me a sign … what do I have to do to make her stop … to make her love me. I cannot listen to this song without bawling 😭😭😭.

My father was a monster, his narcissism brought about my mother and grandmother ( his mom) to death, the split of my family and all the egotism that goes with it. But he received Jesus in his heart, and as a believer myself I forgave him. As soon as I did, all the terrible memories of him were stripped of all emotion, and I can remember without judgement, I just state the facts. Because in a way, we all in one time or another, have become a monster, or a hurtful person to another. So we forgive, others and ourselves.it’s a process, but I hope you find it that you have become a beautiful person and you didn’t need him to become.😊

MAX MAX your right I’m a guy and just turned 15 I listen to her music (went to a concert also) but most people my age don’t even know who Celine Dion is, it’s sad they choose to worship these people today as “amazing singers”. Yet most of them won’t have a voice in 5 years due to horrible technique when singing.

I remember listening to this before I catastrophically ascended and transcended-I finally finished the ending of a massive spiritual awakening. I'll never stop evolving from here. I had a harsh many, deep spiritual awakenings. I am a Divine Feminine that is a double Capricorn cusped to being a double Aquarius. My very forearms are devoted to me and me at my highest self as I ascend and transcend these cosmic grids. It's lonely way up here but it's me and authentically and unapologetically me.
