Hey guys, super excited to be back with a WORLD RECORD / Iron Man speedrun! ⏱️
I've recently revisited some of my older speedruns to consider possible Iron Man runs and have seen room for functional and cinematographic improvements. Rome Any% caught my attention as it could already be considered an Iron Man run, so I thought I'd release an improved run as a showcase of the format.
The run is essentially the same, save an extra second shaved off of the time and now more competent gameplay
The run only uses ground troops to assault the tower and complete the mission. I upgrade the infantry as quickly as possible with two GDI armory buildings and use the GDI Airborne support power to bolster the initial 9 squads of Zone Troopers. It's a hard-hitting run that relies heavily on the upgrades and times the assaults on the various Objectives accordingly.
As you can see, it's possible to destroy the tower at blistering speed using this method. No base building, no zone hopping, no building any units.

So, basically it a challenge mode. Some of my viewers have made requests that I attempt certain missions with only ground units, for example, and I needed a name to call them. The name comes from Iron Man challenges for World of Warcraft, of which I am a major fan. It's not quite the same, but I just like the name! :)

@@owengray4684 I was considering streaming tomorrow actually, but I need to set up my streaming software etc again. Then there's all the shouting and swearing at the PC to consider...
In the desc it says 100%. Just sayin.

@@CryoxR3AP3RX Well, the criteria has to be mission-specific or it doesn't work. You can't say use all ground units where you need to use Firehawks in Albania, for example. It's not something I'm taking too seriously, just something for the community! :)
