Yes, poor Key, haha, the thing is, Key is definitely not a sports person, he avoids them at all cost (except for waterskiing which is the only one he likes) and he is also extremely afraid of heights, so the effort he made for Renjun here is a lot haha! He really is a good person, and Renjun is a sweetheart too, so this was really sweet to see!!

I've never thought of renjuns voice being calming cuz I'm so used to the dreamies being so loud 😅

Everytime I hear Rejun speaking Korean, I get motivated to put more effort in learning it. It’s my goal to be as fluent as he is.

Uuugh the audience doesn't seem to know where Renjun came from🙄 Of course he's good and fluent in korean! He may be chinese but he is from Jilin. The average person in Jilin is bilingual, they speak korean and mandarin. Also, Jilin was once part of Goguryeo. That's why there are a lot of chaoxianzu (korean) and korean culture there. Renjun also grew up bilingual. If you've ever seen Renjun's childhood videos, you'll know. There are videos of him acting, singing in korean and dancing traditional korean dances.

There must obviously be a reason why Renjun never brings this up himself and why it's not talked about in this show. There are videos of him from his school days but except reenacting a scene from the video he never speaks of going to a Korean speaking school. He only mentions his grandmother speaking Korean/liking kpop/watching kdramas in passing. Never explains it further. I'm thinking it's due to political reasons. The tension between China - South Korea is ever changing including the Chinese "kpop ban". From what I understand the "China is one" policy is strong and it's not favorable to draw attention to oneself being from another ethnic group than Han. I've also read that chiaoxianzu are sometimes viewed negatively in South Korea and face prejudice, this could be another reason why it's not brought up. I think it's unfair to 🙄 at "the audience" for not knowing though. Key obviously knows as he's very close to Renjun. But for some reason, my guesses being political + discriminatory, it's not brought up.
