agreed. i hate it when shows invite idols to be judges when all they do is give criticism without constructive feedback or are just there to get the show some views. soyeon seems like she genuinely wants to see the ones shes mentoring to do better and gives them good feedback without sugar coating it. and when she gets on the stage to give them tips and guide them 😩😩 >>>>

​@@moonjoonnyess! The difference between Soyeon and most Idol judges, is that she's just super professional. She always was like that, since pre-debut and even at school. She enjoeyed working hard in order to do well in everything she did, be it in school or in persuing her artistic dreams. Now that she's in the spot light, that didn't change. It's just part of who she is, so whatever she does, she intends to do it right by working for it, instead of leaning back.

I would say she's blunt. She doesn't say overly cruel things, but she doesn't sugarcoat things either. She also gives REALLY good advice from what I'm seeing in this video alone (I've never watched the series). Also she uses her experience amazingly to give that advice. I know from Unpretty Rapstar, she was creative with how to make herself memorable to their audiences, so she uses that exact same techniques for these trainees. I've had plenty of teachers like her and they're always SO good to have for your development.

Yes true, Soyeon is a great teacher and mentor. She leads legend victory of grade 4th (who considered as the weakest team) and win for ACE Battle (when the ace is not even confidence because her opponent is the strongest contestant and has higher confident and energy) because of her detailed instructions

Soyeon only had her hands on these girls for a few weeks. Imagine the type of group she's create given time and any trainee she'd want

I love how she's staightforward yet still respectful. You can really see the girls' improvements whenever Soyeon mentors them. She wants the best for them which is the reason why she has to be strict.

When Soyeon is your teacher/mentor you better listen carefully, try to understand and try to implement, look at her eyes, look at her hands and internalize everything.

In my opinion, to be evaluated based on what you should and shouldn't do,you need an HONEST ANSWERS and Judgement in order to be BETTER. So for me, Soyeon is a definite mentor. No doubt. She's amazing. She said what they'll needed the most if they wanted to be in this entertainment industry.

I think that's honestly the reason she doesn't do this kind of stuff more often. Unfair judges and not so serious contestants, I mean, I don't think she'd be able to stand them. Also her schedule and what not but I think that might be a big factor. She wants people to work hard for what they want and in shows like this people are easily discouraged

We all know RUNEXT is rigged, HYBE already know the lineup they want, they just made this “survival” so people would get attached to the girls and have a build in fanbase by the time they debut.

The fact that comments are constantly overflowing with people talking about how soyeon really knows what she’s doing,and that she should run her own agency, says a lot

She's so brutal and I love it. Especially giving feedback with a smirk. It's the best.

Now that there’s other groups with members as young I hope Classy gets the attention the deserve. The most talent on a survival show and they are the debut members

A tip to the showrunners. When you make a survival show, let the judges choose for the first round. They'll prioritize talent, visual, potential, and charisma (whereas the audience only values the visual). Then, from that point on, always do it 50/50 audience/judges. The audience is incredibly biased. You need people with actual proper judgements to have a say in who joins the group.
