If you aren't expecting the boss fight, he is actually quite dangerous and can easily solo your army if you let him.

I just realized that there was almost no point in the Emperor projecting a holographic clone when in a war situation, any country's highest-ranking government and military people would normally reside in a secretive location that is pretty much less known. The Emperor projecting a holographic clone may have followed this thinking, but for the Soviets to find out that he was still kinda nearby makes the whole cover thing useless even though the reveal was meant as a surprise. Given that we were introduced to the battlefield expansion system mid-game, it's just set up for comedy.

Came back to beat this on Hard. The last one in the campaign. Followed a similar strat, take out that nearby mecha bay with a Kirov early to stop the King Onis and Wave-force artillery. Nuke the NW base with a couple of Kirovs when it appears and take over those mining spots and that's enough of an advantage to guarantee the win.

I find it funny how Shinzo was just chill about "You lack balance, lemme show you how to be a commander" when like... Hello, we're trying to kill your leader!?

This mission is very difficult to me. Not only because the Empire is already so far ahead, sometimes they attack together with tier 3 units. It's even worse since Moskvin usually got defeated by them, leaving me alone for the rest of the game. I think it's the right strategy to snipe the Mechbay and Dojo early to prevent them pumping out king onis and yuriko again. Also camping on Kenji's spawn point is a nice and dirty play I didn't think of

Imperial Warrior: Halt! What do you think you're doing?!

The unique King Oni as a boss unit was an interesting element. A shame the final Soviet mission didn't have something like that - I was expecting the Allies to send a super Future Tank at you.

This is a tough mission. I built a couple of dreadnouhts and took out everything along the coast. The first base was the most difficult after which I built 5 extra mines and built a mammoth army

So nobody noticed that the entire map was uncovered? This would seem to be a HUGE advantage. It would have been more impressive if the map was covered. Much, much more difficult when you can't see the enemy coming.

@@lucianofungi7061 I played the original game, I didn't use cheats to disable fog of war. I don't remember why that happened. I believe some bonus objective from the previous missions is affecting the appearance of the fog of war in this mission, or this is just a glitch.

Its a recurring bug, happen to me once and there are gameplays of this mission with or without the fog

Epic Noice... What an anticipated ambush you've played against Commander Kenji Tenzai- never given the chance to fight... If I may recommend: have Natasha snipe the pilots of most Imperial Units, including the Wave Force Artillery Tank, King Oni Battlewalker, and the Shogun Battleships- you'll find their power and dedication; most fruitful and satisfactory... And do capture the Imperial MCVs- both it's Nanoswarm Hive Generator and the Psionic Decimator Ultimate Weapons prove to be absolutely: deadly.

I spammed Twinblades for this map then ambush their MCV before they even deployed Don't forget to kill their Mecha bay/Imperial Docks so they won't rebuild. Also watch out for yuriko in the map Natasha is also good here for sniping free King Onis

You could have built a fleet of migs to defend the kirovs (and even better with another fleet of twinblades to kill off yuriko)

What happened at 11:30 ?

Camping on Kenji like that is a bit of a cheating. Without that this would be a 45min long, difficult mission and thus a more interesting video. His purpose is to basically harass your base while you are dealing with the central forward base. If you go for Kenji first (without camping) then the other 2 would quickly overrun Moskovin. The designers forgot to give Kenji a proper escort.

I didn't use cheats to turn the fog of war. I have no idea why did I start the mission without FOW. I believe some bonus objectives from previous missions could affect it, or it's was just a glitch.

Not really. Apocalypse tanks and King Oni are roughly at the same level of damage and durability (if anything the apocalypse is slightly stronger). That said the king Oni has better speed and it's special ability, the bull rush allow it to do massive damage to other land units, even multiple in a line if well used. However if you mean around 28 min here, the real damage was not done by the king Oni but by the nearby wave force tower (you can't see it shoot very well because the target is so close to the tower but it shoots)

@@aaronfarmer6317 Lorewise, that was the King Oni prototype. It was stronger, but more expensive, than the ones we can build. When the design was revamped, that Oni went to the Emperor.

My favorite mission in this game it’s so fucking epic and hits all the right notes in what I love about command and conquer

I failed so many times... so may fucking times. Jesus Christ, you are a god. Yeah, you have no fog of war, but even then, this mission isn't that easy. Also, why aren't you getting "signal scrambled" because of their infiltrators infliltrating your base?

@@hdw I just tried to try your tactics, and I destroyed two bases: the one of the long hair guy and the one of the navy guy, but then the green soviets fell and the Japanese unleashed a large wave of death robots onto my defense. All of my bullfrogs got destroyed, leaving me defenseless against the sky, and then they destroyed my entire base. I think I am bad at this game....

@@hdw Okay, I did it! Instead of producing a lot of apocalypse tanks, I just made a few dozen Kirovs and nuked all of the three bases. A lot of kirov's died, but still did a lot of damage. The coop bot, green soviet guy, finished off the emperor. Very nice!

This mission is really bad and hard. The empire destroyed my co commander so easily with their air power, king Onis and Yuriko which caused me, my apocalypse tanks, my MiGs and my Natasha to be on my own against the imperials.

Fog of war doesn’t necessarily change the whole mission. You just know what to expect, calling them a cheater is a little harsh. Let’s just say... OMEG YU HEXER!!!11!1

It does a little though. Namely without fog of war, you can use your commander powers wherever you please, no need to send units to get vision. With powers like orbital drop or magnetic satelite, that makes quite a bit of a difference if you can suck or bombard enemy unit anywhere at will. It's not a major thing and I can certainley understand some players would not care,nor would I call them 'cheater' for it, but just saying that technically it does make a difference

@@s.m.2523 More than a little. Information is key in a battle, and if you know the enemy is about to attack you can prepare for it and from which direction. It makes a HUGE difference when you know where and when they are coming. It was definitely cheating.
