Yeah it was. He had his toe in while possessing the ball. Incredible catch though.

I was at the game, looks like shoulder came down out of bounds when he finally had full possession, anyway, great game, sold out atmosphere

It's hard to be entirely sure, but I don't think they could conclusively rule that his foot didn't come down in bounds before his butt landed out of bounds. Good call - TD stands.

Should've been pass interference regardless. Would have been BS if they said no cause then it is a missed call that cost them the game.

Hate to admit it, but there is a still frame showing clear possession with a toe in bounds.

If you're not sure if it's a catch, there's a photo circulating of him controlling the ball with his toe down. Look it up, it's a beautiful shot!

Boise State fan here. It doesn't matter anyway because there was no clear angle angle that could have overturned it, so there would not have been indisputable video evidence. It's a tough pill for us to swallow, but everybody arguing whether it was a catch or know is just proving this point.

@@matthewshirts9523 you're right. But people assume it's not a TD without looking at it closely. There are pictures that it was a catch. In.the end the game is over and its a tough for you guys but it was a well fought game!

BSU being in bowl contention is the last thing I expected when the season started.

Knew I recognized that voice and especially when the other commentator said "Petros" dudes so fucking funny on Petros and Money and I had no clue he commentated

As a Boise State fan - Was it a catch? IDK But that's obvious defensive holding which was missed. And I'm willing to bet with 4 more goes from the 1 they get in. So not like it made any difference.

Geez what a catch. Don't get much closer than that. The shameful part is the ref didn't throw the holding/PI flag.

With 3 games left and a FCS on the schedule, they needed to win this or Stanford to be bowl eligible.

The defender was all over the receiver.

Gotta love the BSU fan in the background trying to signal incomplete pass before the ball even reaches Nacua. In reality, I'm going to miss this rivalry. Wish BYU would concentrate on keeping this one going entering the Big 12 over the one with Utah.

Your running backs elbow hit the ground before he got in, that means that it wasn't in. Just be happy with your win.

@@matthewshirts9523 His elbows were parallel to the ground when they hit on that. the ball hit the goal line at the same time as the elbows. I'm not routing for either team in this, but that was a pretty indisputable looking touchdown.

human error...the referee felt it was a catch than not...and the video evidence was insufficient to over turn that ruling(I kinda agree)....meaning if the referee said "Not " a catch...it couldn't have been over ruled as a catch... IMO it was not a catch...to say it was...is only an assumption not actual evidence (tie goes to the runner circumstance)...but I don't mind the judgement in favor of success/"a catch" rather than failure... meaning if it looks like a catch... go ahead with that...rather that than a "NO" and be wrong...

ok...my point is ...the final judgement was based on the original call...if they called it an "incompletion"... it would have stand...they would have overturned it...

Yeah but the fact that the refs stuck with the field ruling was consistent throughout the game. The exact same thing happened with an earlier BYU touchdown, but the opposite as the ruling on the field was that he didn’t break the plane. So they were consistent with that on all the close calls in the game.

You're right he was, but he barely had possession as he is falling with one foot down. You can see Nacua kicking up pellets before he goes out with possession.
