I think Byrne's Helping Hand is the best one, just because Zelda's Lullaby is playing in the background

It's true I never noticed that

Byrne was such an interesting character, you expect him to be the relentless villain and servant to Cole but on the inside he had a heart of pure gold that just didn't show. His death at the end of the game really hits you hard due to how much of a great character he was and how he was developed throughout the game.

My older sister was a big fan of Legend of Zelda and I would watch her play it often. When I saw her playing a part of Spirit Tracks, I didnt know much about it but assumed that Zelda had been hit by the train and that's why she was a ghost. I told this to my sister, who found it hilarious and from them on, she let me watch her play as much as I wanted and even let me try at times. I miss those days..

I think the best part about Byrne's death is the way he goes. It's not something flashy that's followed by a huge speech to the player on his deathbed, it's a few seconds of what seems to be pure agony before being simply erased from existence in the blink of an eye. Probably one of the darkest deaths of a significant character in a Zelda game.

I'd hate to be that guy, but he is kind of an evolved form of the shadow sage, so he won't remember what happened just like link doesn't between most games but he will still be alive just as link is (not Zelda she works difrently, and most gannons are just the same guy just older each time)

It'd be cool to see if there was a character maybe in BOTW (or TOTK hopefully) that has a similar name or personality or appearance, with the potential for them being his soul reincarnated

When Byrne was getting sucked in to that purple vertex of death that maladus was creating, I was like: "You see, THIS is why we can't have people being heroes right out of the blue!"

It really showed how ruthless this game can be. You start to like a character and then it just gets snapped out of existence.

Ah Spirit Tracks. Reminds me of when I was almost done in elementary school. Your kind of mature, but still have an over active imagination that's fueled by games likes this. This game alone made me judge things by how good there character development was. Thanks for being a great game and making me a nitpicker.

I remember getting this as a birthday gift from my uncle when I was 9 and feeling devious for playing a game rated E10+. I have a lot of good memories, but I mostly remembered the music, characters, and bosses. A few of the game's themes stuck with me for a while and I remember every boss (except the final one for some reason) in great detail. The gameplay itself isn't bad, but it's kinda forgettable. Upon replaying it, all the puzzles are really easy, aside from the ones on the very last floor in the Tower of Spirits. However, I did enjoy destroying the bosses that gave me trouble as a kid. I died to Fraaz and Skeldritch a lot of times but beat them first time on my second playthrough.

Linebeck was my favourite! bringing comedy to a Zelda game, and also a good ally with Link, which is pretty rare since we mostly are alone in Zelda games (except for Navy or Zelda in ST, but they're not the same). But yeah, Byrne was pretty badass too!

The very first Zelda game I've ever beaten. Nearly completed. I used to delete my safe file just to fight him again because unfortunately you can't fight him a second time at the post game boss Arena.

I love everything to do with this guy, his theme, his personality and look, his battle, and especially the part at the end

Probably my second favorite character in the series, behind the hero of time. I adore Byrne

To be honest I think Spirit Tracks is the zelda game with best music. It was this game that made me an addicted gamer. Especialy Zelda games. In this game the best track is either Steaven's (Byrne) rescue or Link and Zelda's duet.

This is so nostalgic. Spirit Tracks was one of the best games, even though I never beat it. Byrne was the best character. RIP Staven(Byrne) Also his battle theme was playing in restaurant add I saw one time, and I must say, it suits the occasion. Finally, for those of you who don't know, Sooga from age of calamity was intentionally a villain but in the end, played a heroic role, and died, so, Byrne was probably inspiration for Sooga

Could be a reincarnation depending on how you interpret the Lokomo. Anjean said that he would indefinitely reincarnate due to his role as a Lokomo, but it never specified how he would reincarnate Perhaps his regret for betraying Anjean is what turned into Sooga's unyielding devotion to Kohga. Or it could just be coincidence and I might be pulling at straws. Regardless, it's fun to think about

I freaking love Byrne's rescue theme. It fits so well with the moment of danger.

I think I may mod my Smash 4 Wii U game just so that every map has the option for Byrnes' battle theme song (if possible).

My favourite song from this game has to be Byrne’s Rescue, it’s so good and shows that despite Byrne’s old ways, he still found a reason to turn his life around and it was so sweet

Well I wouldn't go as far as to say that it's the greatest Zelda game ever, the game has its flaws that most of witch stick out like sore thumbs like it's transportation but, kinda ironically the frist Zelda game I ever played was "Phantom Hourglass ⌛" and I've actually have been trying to get my hands on a copy after my last one got eaten buy my dog years ago lol and I've got at least one of each DS and 3DS Zelda game except for Hyrule Warriors and of corce phantom hourglass and as a final note, sorry for over sharing I'm just getting excited to here people still talking about this overlooked gem of a Zelda game.

idk the music is just really good and supports whats happening, the presence of both zeldas and byrnes leitmotiv when he helps them, the solemn version during his death... i love it

It makes sense that you hear Zelda's Lullaby in Byrne's Helping Hand theme. He used to be a Lokomo and he was using a Lokomo's powers to protect her.

The underrated themes of an underrated character in an underrated game.

There are so many nintendo characters that I freaking love but have been in a couple games Byrne and fawful being a few. How awesome would it be to beat crap out of people in smash as Byrne?

I love everything about Byrne.

Probably one of better written villans and characters in the Zelda series not evil he just wanted power and eventually realized the full picture of what he was doing and changed side and dies heros death being viral to Zelda and links victory. now I think about it this game has surprising good writing no ww,mm or botw but still has some great writing at some moments.

Thinking back to Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks is making me want the Zelda series to shift back to a focus on story again. The last few games have all been gameplay centered and lacking somewhat in their stories.

The controls are a bit choppy in places, but they're fine overall. Sure the graphics aren't all that, but keep in mind that they were trying to keep the same general theme as with WW and PH

Sometimes I wonder.... WHY in the WORLD is YUGA in Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition?! BUT BYRNE (and other characters that are better than yuga😅) isn't?! WHY NINTENDO?!
