Have purchased a Seal but it is no match for my Tesla app's functionality. Tesla is years ahead in its car and app software functionality. Hopefully BYD has the motivation to improve it all soon.

I think the most important thing that is missing is the location of the vehicle on a map. No honking is needed. Also, it might be able to track stolen vehicles that way.

Excellent video thanks. Is it possible to alter the charge schedule and charge level for the battery ie to limit the charge to 70 or 80% etc? Doesnt seem to be this capability in the car either unless I'm missing a trick? Even with the car set to charge for 4 hours (with charge to 100% unticked) it still charged to 100% - about 6 hours thus ignoring the 4 hour schedule (12:30am to 4:30am) that I'd set on the car display

I have never used these functions. I don’t have a grid connection and only charge from my home solar and do the charging manually. If I end up putting in too much power, then I put back into the house at night via V2L

I have the Seal ordered for Jan 2024 in Ireland. Would love to get your impressions after the first few weeks of ownership as there's not a lot of owner reviews out there.

Will do a review video when I’ve driven it a bit more. For now pros are the way it drives, comfort, fit and finish and everybody staring at it. cons, it's a lot harder to get in and out of than an SUV, even shutting the drivers door from inside is a struggle.

Can you do a video about sensors? Real sensors is something Tesla M3 lacks. I am especially interested in front sensor if you can see distance in centimeters and if it is measure correctly..

Are you expecting 567km for 97% or is that an overestimate? Or am I reading the app incorrectly? I'm waiting on buying one in the UK and I'll be doing a lot of long distance motorway driving

I recently charged the car to 100% and I set the trip to see what the actual range is. Based on my previous driving (Dynamic Range) the car is saying 567km from 97%. BYD are saying 580km from 100% is possible. If you drive long distances regularly I would suggest buying the LR RWD with 650km of range.

Very cool video once again thanx ! I'll receive my seal in a few weeks and would have a question. Here in Europe, the engine sound generator at low speed is mandatory and the is set very very loud.. This is very annoying. I know this can be switched off on the Atto 3 by simply unplugging the speaker that generates this sound. It's underneath the hood. I was wondering if you know how to do the same thing on the seal.. Thanx so much for your help ;)

A few of us here in Thailand have discussed it. The guys with Atto 3 have made that adaptation. To be honest the sound insulation on the Seal with the double glazed windows means you can’t hear it inside the car. If we find a work around I will post a video on it.

Thanx so much for your help and response. In fact it seems that the sound of this generator is way louder in Europe to meet the EU rules and regulations. I took the seal for a test drive yesterday and it's true that noise insulation is excellent but the noise is still very loud and everybody is looking at you wondering what the hell is this sound for 😅

In the event of an accident, your insurance will shaft you if you've tampered with it. So tbh I wouldn't unplug it. Drove one Saturday wasn't bothered by the noise. Who cares if people look they're actually looking at the car wondering what it is
