An extension video created by OceanWatch Australia. Demonstrating the effectiveness of incorporating bycatch reduction modifications into existing eel fishing traps, using submersible cameras.
Escape rings allow the release of juveniles during fishing operations. This is good for the environment and the fisher, minimising damage to catches and minimising sorting and handling.
This project is supported by OceanWatch Australia, through funding from the Australian Government and North Coast Local Land Services.

Hi Joferson, Fresh sea mullet are good bait, pilchards are good too.

OceanWatchAustralia I use mackerel or bluefish. Also chub minnows after you pinch them
