I feel that this game plays you, you can mostly react to bad things instead of playing a game. With that been said, I like the narrative aspect that comes from it, but I feel I would play this few times, get annoyed by early destruction of my forces and ragequit a lot. That means for me that game would pick up dust on a shelve more than been played.

Certainly a possibility, though that hasn’t been my experience. Even when the early luck is bad, you have choices to make of how many points you want to risk still going for.
