Thanks for the help. I'm finding this very difficult to get set up and calibrated for each flight. Takes about 45 min. By the time I'm set up, my buddies are almost out of juice. I also have difficulty keeping it in controller mode. It switches to phone controls and I can't use joysticks. Would have bought a better unit had I known this. Sucks as all my friends are turn on and go...

Just flew mine tonight for the first time 😅 it crashed i had to replace 2blades right away ,tomorrow will replaced other 2 got more coming from amazon ,,bad thing is i wasnt able to conect to my phone will try again tomorrow,,ty so much very informative vid

Thanks Don! The full size F7 has nice gimbal on it. We reviewed that one too - kzread.info/dash/bejne/g3abzLODodS3f9Y.html It was a really awesome drone as well. I think on the mini they were trying to keep the cost down so more people could afford a good drone. Happy flying mate :) #RCInsiders

Thanks! Why did it crash into tree? Doesn't it have avoidance? was it in Follow me mode? I want to use it for runs and rides video sometimes, and don't want to have to worry about it flying into nearby trees.

You're welcome! No, the mini does not have obstacle avoidance. The F7 does & might be better suited for ride/run videos as it has a camera with 3axis gimbal for smoother video. There is no doubt the F7 is the superior drone, The gimbal alone make the video quality worth it. The added control range is another big deal. It comes down to budget & willingness to register your drone with the FAA. The mini does not require registration. If the budget is there, the F7 is the way to go. Do you have any other drones? @@RCInsiders Thanks for the reply! The camera's image will freeze after a couple seconds, but altitude and velocity data will still work properly. Wifi might be the one to blame, but I don't know for sure since I'm a bit new to using drones. Edit: the batteries, remote, and phone are always fully charged before use

@@thekansan8683 Definitely sounds like a communication issue between the phone & the drone. Could be a slow/damaged receiver or transmitter. You could try to use it with a different phone to narrow down the issue.

Do you think I could attach a go pro to this drone to get more stable/better footage?

Wow! 99 bucks is a great deal for this drone. I have not flown this drone FPV, but I can't see why you couldn't. If a drone has video transmission, it should be able to be synced with most goggles. dji goggles are tricky as they won't pair with most other drones. What goggles do you have? I was flying today for about 25 min per battery here in Chicago. If we didn't have wind then I would say 35 or so depending on how you are flying it. This is a great drone to learn on for biggeners. My buddy's have some exspensive drones and they told me not to buy what they have until I learn. So we went with this one and I love it. Connecting it to the Internet was bullshit but other than that I'm happy.

Hi, What is it?

I bought this drone around 2 years ago. I flew it once but every time I try to fly it, it won't let me unlock the motors. I'm not even it's connecting to the sats. I can't fly it without unlocking motors even without turning on GPS mode. It powers up like normal and seems like every thing great but it's not. I still have it, hoping it's just an update or something else but I'm loosing faith. I bought an potensic atom and that drone my dude, does not disappoint.

@RCInsiders When I first purchased it, I flew it once, and it flew perfectly fine. I went to fly it again the next day, and I could not get it to connect to the satellites and worst of all, o can't even fly without satellite connection,... when I slide the icon, it won't release the motors

@RCInsiders yes, i uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. I've had it for probably close to 2 years. But I bought a potensic atom se, I still have the bwine f7 mini but as I said, I can not get the motors to unlock. The atom se is really a better drone anyway.
